New furniture given to me by ADer Derek

I actually like the colors now, so I'll just leave it as is. However, I need to buy lots of DVD's for that rotating DVD self. :D

Do you need bible DVD?

You can try Amazon and they offer DVD at cheaper.

Just one tiny problem...... I don't ever use my debit card for on-line shopping. Only for paying bills on-line. and that's the only thing I use it for. Otherwise, I'll just go to a store on Belmont that has 7 DVD's for one whole season for super crazy prices.

Great news! Amazon accepts Debit cards! They also accept bank accounts. I've used Amazon for years and I trust them.

I have GREAT NEWS for you - you can use debit card on online shopping if you could afford.

It is your call.

It's not that I don't trust the sites-- I mistrust how easy it is to steal that info. I'd rather go into a store and pay $20 for the same season than to be robbed blind.

I don't donate to the Salvation Army either. I don't like their attitude on LGBT. There is plenty of other places I can donate my used items to that don't have anything against one particular type of people. I get annoyed with Goodwill saying that they are doing something good by "employing" people with disabilities.

What about give your money to Derek and he can order for you? :dunno:

It looks like you are very behind with technology and we are going help you to ahead.

I trust him to use money and find best deals. I know he can find good prices ;).

What I started doing is watching Netflix instead of buying DVD. In my experience, once I watched shows on DVD, I rarely watch them again so they sit on my shelf not being used while on Netflix, can watch all of seasons for fraction of price of DVD and not have to worry about them taking space. If want to watch again, still can on Netflix.

I think you get more bang for your money watching Netflix than buying DVDs.

Yeah! $7.99 monthly for over 20,000 movies and TV shows is a good deal!

Charity shops? What are those?

community shops...different charity shops same stuff sold people donate all the crap they dont want...one person crap to others is gold..
just had decorator come look at total cock up of my decorating,he wants charge me 500quid to alter it,that taking the piss

:wave:Derek, that was really kind!

ChicagoBlue, I'm very happy for you about the furniture and also that both you guys got together and had a good time. I was very touched to read this thread:D

DVD as movie is waste of money and waste of space for your storage. What's wrong with netfliex? It got unlimited tv show, movie, foreign, etc for only $7.99 a monthly.

Don't use your debit card or CC for order online. Use paypal (PP), I use PP for ebay, newegg, etc. for almost 10 years and zero problem with that and WAY FAR securely than debit card,CC, and check account.

More info about PP. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/pop/about_paypal_wa-outside

Over 230 million users have a PayPal account.
That's pretty a lot number.

But Netfliex or similar service is an ongoing expense month after month. If you buy just what you particularly like and are likely to re-watch you only pay for it once!
