I am now alergic to the worst thing for an energetic teenger to be allergic to. Pain killers All pain killers. Everytime i take any i get over heated cheeks turn red almost purple and i can't keep food down or anything like that. I hate this I'm very athletic and get sore often. Anyway does anyone know of any Body Pain killers that open the blood vessels instead of trying to just block the pain

100% Natural medicine... ask your doctor about 100 % natural medicine???

Many people who are allergic to the typical over-the-counter pain killers like Aspirin, Ibuprofen and Acetominifen have found that prescription pain killers such as Codeine, Vicodin, Oxycodone and other narcotic-type pain killers are all they can tolerate because they kill pain in such a different way than NSAIDs (Aspirin/Ibuprofen) and Acetominifen do. But remember - these medications are ADDICTIVE! Magnesium, potassium, caffeine, and just drinking more water are other methods people use to control pain - not to mention therapuetic massage, self-hypnosis, rest, stretching, reducing stress, etc. People with migraines often have to increase salt intake, never drink orange juice or lemonade, avoid chocolate...these are some things you can discuss with a doc too, depending on what kind of pain you generally have.

"Natural" is not always good - Aspirin comes from tree bark, and Morphine comes from the poppy-flower and both have their problems.

Bottom line though - see your doctor, no really, see your doctor. I mean it - see your doctor. If you have already experienced a bad reaction to any medication, you really need a doctor to help you make other choices and prevent possible bad reactions from other things you might try.

Maybe, you're taking the wrong kind of painkillers. Sometimes, it's not just the painkillers... but an ingredient that's in it. Check with your doctor and he might be able to tell you which painkillers are ok and which to avoid. :thumb:

I am not sure if opening blood vessels would help much with pain.
Certain types of pain need to have the blood vessels "closed", or more correctly - narrowed back in order to relieve pain.
but those medications that do that are not neccessarilly "painkillers".

besides, if your face gets "heated" and red it would rather indicate that your blood vessels are widenin' not shrinking..

painkillers usually work on the nervous system in order to relieve pain, not by opening/closing blood vessels.
Changing blood vessels width -that could be an additional property of a painkiller but not neccessarily one that relieves pain.

Even if I knew of some, you've stated you are allergic to them ALL ??
Also you did not specified which one you take..

But even if I knew and could suggest some stuff,
how can I know, not being a dr, not knowing you, you not having any tests done if and what EXACTLY are you allergic to,
what if I suggested something anyway -how do you know it wouldn't harm you? how would I know?

Please see your dr- it't the best advice, so far..
