has anyone ever experienced NEUROMA??

i just found out that i have this! it hurts like HELL especially getting an injection right ON the nerve! sheesh.. and it is from the frigging accident.. damn that truck driver.. sheesh! :roll:

I have to ask.. What exactly is a neuroma. I have a general idea being a growth on a nerve? Is it a cyst? Tumor?

u arent alone Ocean -- i too am curious to what exactly Neuroma is cuz ive not heard of that ailment

Fly, I've heard of them. It is a type of growth that is either on the nerve or along a nerve root, I think?

Shoot! I might go look it up!

i felt the same way when i first HEARD that medical terminology.. it kinda freaked me out..

it means pinching of the nerve in the foot.. that is all!

the cause of it can be from a number of things such as tight shoes, stress and slamming the brakes in which i did at the accident.. grrr!!

my foot hurts cuz i got an injection right on the nerve .. ugh!! and it was numb for a few hours yesterday.. woke up today in pain at the bottom of the foot and it was swollen while the top of the foot was a little black and blue... i couldn't walk. and the tip of the toe was numb ... really weird.. so i called the dr.. he said it was normal.. and said that the nerve is really at the bottom of the foot but gave me the injection on the top of the foot so it wouldn't be TOO PAINFUL and TOO SWOLLEN.. yikes!! so i need to rest my foot as much as possible.. so i am limping like a LIL PUPPY .. LOL

Ohh, Owie!!

Try soaking it, too. I don't know if that will really help, but it might help the pain a bit.
