I am 67 and still trying to run my business. I have had aides for ten years and my loss has just gotten worse. I have read every post here that I can find on speech to text. I have a droid razr phone that is three years old. I am looking for an app that I can use for general conversation. 2 questions. Which are the best, free or not, and which have horror stories that I should stay away from.
Another question, I have read that a directional mic is helpful. In your experience is that correct? Is there a specific phone that is better than others? Many of my conversations take place in a fairly noisy environment i.e. shop floor or lunch meetings. Increasing the volume is not an option as I have lost almost all the low tones.

I also have a list about ten inches long of apps on my computer as favorite websites.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rich

Hey. There is an application "Petralex hearing aid" for your computer and your phone. I use it, it is very well to the loss of hearing (not complete deafness). I can perfectly communicate with people and many have no idea about my problem.
