He made it through open heart surgery yesterday morning. He's a very brave savant. When he woke up 2 hrs after his surgery was finished he asked me with a single sign, "finished?" I responded with "finished" and gave him a thumbs up.

I think we both know the guy "Savant" or "Tnavas" who hangs out with 'Fasty' at #deaf in the Efnet. My brother is simply "a savant" and is not the the other guy in Efnet youre referring to.

Anyways his breathing tube was removed at 4 pm yesterday and then today he is expected to be walking at noon (pacific).

The surgeon said the operation went without a hitch and was a lot faster than the last time.

I hope he has a speedy recovery.

That's good to hear, Richard! I wish him a speedy recovery!

He was recovering well till the day before he was to be released and thats when hell broke lose with his health.

Few of the sutures (sitches) in his heart became undone sending him through his battle of his life. They had to open him up 2 more times to stop the bleeding in which the second time they had to open, him his liver and kidneys were sort of failing because of the blood transfusions. There was one point my mom was told he wasnt going to make it through and thats when my mom became hysterical.

Hes recovering from this fight pretty good and he is home at last.

Richard

That's my brother working on our Rose Parade fundraiser in the picture.
