I will take pics. I hope I have enough Memory. I have 2.5 GB of memory cards. I may switch from RAW to JPEG so that I will have more room. Yah, JPEG should be fine. JPEG is about 1/2 the size at...unless I use less resolution.

I'll give you a quick overview.

Left friday after 10 or so inches of snow and VERY cold. Train lost about 5 mins every stop on the way to New York City due to snow and ice accumulating at the doors. In New York City, they De-Iced all the doors and entries with some de-icer and also fixed a lil air leak (probally caused by the snow, too). Then we made good time to Philly.

Sunday, train was perfectly on schedule from Philly to DC. Got off the train, and just missed one Gally shuttle, but caught the last one of the mid-afternoon. I got confused at where the new pickup for the Shuttle was. I think it's in a stupid place.

Monday, hopped on the train back home. We were running on time until we came to Stratford, CT. Someone decided to walk in front of a Metro-North train. That set up back about 10 minutes.

Overall, the train was excellent, except it was TOO HOT on the way home. They finally shut the heat off. Apparently, the coaches have no thermostat, just heat ON/OFF. That is my only complaint.

Aw sorry to hear that, I haven't rode on a train before, it would be neat to ride in one someday! ;)

prostock, nice short story about the train trip, sounds like it wasn't much to tell about, at least it was a weekender. ;)
