Well, I don't try to get close to mine. S/he's the first one to get to the bird feeder after I put food in it. I usually do that as I'm heading off to work, so I only see her/him from my car as I back out of the driveway. This morning, I remembered to get my camera so I could get a picture of her/him on the swing/feeder.So cute! We had one too earlier. But I think it figured out not to trust humans.

A long time ago, my dad befriended a squirrel at the beach house we rented for two weeks each summer. That squirrel came back to the house at least one summer after that. Of course, some other renters may have done the same thing. My dad would leave a trail of peanuts leading up to his chair and eventually the squirrel would take the peanuts from his hand.
Yes, we know to be careful around all wild animals. I have no intenion of trying to coax this squirrel to eat out of my hand. (not directed at you Botts...just in case someone wants to tell me to be careful).
Aw, so cute! We have TONS of squirrels in our back yard. I find them more annoying than cute most of the time, because they eat the birdseed, no matter how much I try to get "squirrel-proof" (ha!) feeders. They are smart little rascals, for sure.
At our old house, we had deer pass through near the creek at the end of our lot on a regular basis. One time when I was looking out I saw a deer stop. Our cat was down near the creek in our neighbors yard. The deer decided to come up between our houses to the front lawn to get around our cat.So cute. I have a fondness for squirrels. My backyard is very primitive, so we see lots of wildlife. I need to post photos of the wild turkey march I had here a few weekends back. I love seeing nature at it's best, when they're just frollicking for fun in my backyard.
Adorable!
What a pretty color! My squirrels are just common gray.So cute! We had one too earlier. But I think it figured out not to trust humans.

Same problem here. I think I tried everything on the market, and everything has baffles on them.Aw, so cute! We have TONS of squirrels in our back yard. When we visited family in Michigan, I noticed that they had the red squirrels.Yep, that's Iowa for you. We see lots of red squirrels here in this state. I saw a bunch of them eating from a squirrel feeder at the front of the house nearby here in the middle of the winter.
Aw, the babies are cute. That would have been a cool picture.Today I visited with my sister and her husband, and on their property I saw four tiny baby squirrels climbing down a side of a big tree. They were bunched closely together and I wish I had a camera to take a picture of it, since I suspect it was one of their first times out of their nest.![]()
