What inspired this poem is an infamous poem "Tyger" (By William Blake) and Shaggy's "Angel" ... I was watching BET while reading Tyger. You get the idea.

Tyger is my favorite poem of all!! :)

*Psst -- Click on Angel for the lyrics; Tyger for the full version of the poem.

My Angel

Clad in blinding white light
Pale in the moonlight
Such beauty, such grace
Running in the slow-motion pace

Through the necks of the woods
Passing by the quiet neighborhood
Stopping by my bedroom balcony door
I woke up to you knocking, “Who are you here for?”

“I came by for you”, you replied
Felt like I could cry
No one would fly across the country
Just to be with a mere mortal me

What hand, what art
Dare to grasp my heart?
Aye, it’s my angel!

What arm, what eye that see
That dares to hold me
And stare in my eyes?
Together, we flew to the unlimited skies

Racing with the birds,
Laughing at the world…
Surely this must be a dream,
If it is, I never want to wake up and scream

“Angel! My angel!”
Always and forever
Will you be mine and ever.

Juanita,

You really have some good work out there...you should go to the bookstore and get yourself a copy of the Writer's Market. I'm sure they have a version out for poets...I have the main version...thicker than the BIBLE! But anyway...I think you should try getting together some kind of a collection of your work and send it to agents or publishers. You could really make some money off your poems! :)

I say the same for Roadrunner and Pinkster and Deaf258 as well...You guys have some talent...keep up the good work!

Hugs,
Malfoyish
