If any person (not just President Obama) has one parent white, and one parent black, what makes that person black instead of white? That would seem to me a 50/50 mix, which would be equally both black and white.

I don't know how Adam and Eve got into the question. Since neither of them had parents they don't fit into my question. However, since you brought it up, I believe that both Adam and Eve had genes that would produce a variety of combinations in their descendants. It doesn't really matter what their "color" appeared to be on the outside.
