As many of you already know that Mircosoft has owned Rare, the british third party developer, who will later release "Perfect Dark 2" and other titles in the near future. Mircosoft was going to buy Sega, but it seems that Sammy already got Sega's attention so I dunno if Sammy has bought Sega yet.
So now Mircosoft is still looking for other companies to buy and use them as their own. If Mircosoft buys Midway then in history Microsoft will be known as the richest electronics company in the whole world...EVER! owns 3 companies...dang WHERE'D BILL GATES GET ALL THE MONEY!??!!
Mircosoft has already owned Bungie, the company behind the infamous FPS title, "Halo" and will be releasing "Halo 2" this fall, and owns Rare, the company behind N64 classics such as "Goldeneye", "Perfect Dark", and "Banjo-Kazooie". and now Mircosoft is going to buy Midway! hmmm even the titles like "Mortal Kombat" proably won't be able to go multiplatform anymore...
A press release this morning indicates that Bill Gates is interested in Midway.
It's no secret that Midway Games has been struggling. The company has reported 12 consecutive quarterly losses and has suffered a 75% drop in its stock. Fortunately for Midway, Viacom chairman, Sumner Redstone, likes Midway and has recently spent $16.5 million on 4.8 million shares. Interestingly enough, it looks like the world's most famous CEO, Bill Gates, is thinking of buying shares as well.
Investors watching the situation closely speculate that Midway is a prime candidate for a takeover. The company makes good games and is owner to some of the world's most famous franchises, such as Mortal Kombat and the Blitz sports series. Microsoft needs more games as they struggle to catch up to Sony who controls 67% of the video game market in the US.
Analysts believe that if Bill Gates enters into the fray it will spark a bidding war between the Viacom Chairman, Mr. Redstone, and Gates. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft will be able to acquire another rather large publishing house.

That is what made them stronger than Netscape. Netscape focuses on people who only know how to work with internet browsers. Microsoft focuses on anyone, expanding their knowledge and field of work. At the end, Microsoft creates an internet browser that is also compatible with the rest of the Windows system. You can open up IE and then type in the location of the folder and it becomes a folder browser. You can open up a folder then type in the URL of a webpage and it becomes a internet browser. You can even make a FTP module as well. If you use telnet, you can type in "telnet://blah.blah.blah" and it will automatically pull up the telnet program. That's what you get for being very diverse.
