The cohesive argument is that Hitler was a genius orator....noone denies this...that is how he did what he did. It doesn't make him a genius in intellectual sense.....and MJ never implied this.

It has nothing to do with color in what black conservatives believe in. They are equally critical of Obama's policy as the next white conservate person. Even Gov. Jindal. And many others.

Just realized something. This is a MJ thread. I'll reserve this comment elsewhere in an appropriate thread.
 
I agree. The thread title is misleading. The content of the article is different from what a reasonable person would expect given the thread title.

I've often wondered if I would have gone along with Hitler if I were born in that time and place. It's easy to say "No no, of course not. I would never fall for that", but those people are inherently no different from me or anyone else here. We're saved by our institutions, values, and traditions. Without those, I think we would be a lot more susceptible to smooth-talking tyrants.
 
And I found that same phrasing in another website that lead me to the The Sun's article on MJ.

As for smooth talking tyrants...I definitely agree!!

Thank you, Babyblue. I was going to say the same thing. Most sociopaths and psychopaths are very very smart. That doesn't mean that were applauding them.

Hitler may have been a genius orator but his biggest weakness was that he apparently had no empathy for other people and that helped bring him down.

Now that you mention it...he (or she?) seems pretty much uptight with anything that involves black people...interesting. That makes so much sense now I can see why kokonut never stop bitching about Obama.

Intelligence and intention are two different things. Hitler was both very intelligent and very evil.
