I posed it as a question - to see if that was what he meant. Meaning, I was not sure what he was saying and wanted clarification.

Its called "saying it in a different way".


example:

"I like people"

"Even bad people?"

"I never said the word 'bad' your taking my words out of context!"

"So, do you like bad people are not, because they are included in 'people'?"

"No, I do not like 'bad' people"

"thank you for clarifying that you do not like all people - which implies you only like people whom YOU think are good".

That is why I asked you for clarification. Saying "I only vote for people I like" leaves a lot of implications open.

Such as "Do you like people who do nothing about the Gulf Oil spill?"

but that's not what you asked but that question is still poorly constructed, poorly thought-out. You said

I don't know why you asked such question. Foxrac's post is perfectly and clearly understood. It's so obvious - you as a voter would vote for this person because you like him/her since you share with his/her view, right?

By your logic - if you voted for this person and he's a strong Amendment 2 supporter... an opponent would say - "So do you like people who condone Wild West vigilantism and legalized murders?"

Saying "I vote for people I like" leaves a lot of implications open.

I clearly explained the reason I asked, but the reason does not satisfy you so your attempting to smear me. Your guilty of the exact same thing you just accused me of.

I could agree that your attempt to smear people by your leaps and bounds of logic is futile.
