Cute, but not safe. Bears are not domesticated animals.

Yes I am well aware of and have to give you right on this.

Do you remember Timothy Treadlow, "The Grizzly Bear Man"´s tragic story?

I saw his TV document few years ago. He lived with grizzly bears for 13 summer years until some bears killed and ate him and his girlfriend.

After read the article, I'm bit skeptical over Casey Anderson's view on bear & human being. Casey's view remind me of "Grizzly Bear Man" I saw the TV Document few years ago. (I found out thru Google today that "Grizzly Bear Man" named Timothy Treadlow). He lived with Grizzly bears for over 13 summer years until the bears killed and ate him and his girlfriend.

Anyway I search the interview between Casey Anderson and the reporter until I found the good link because I'd like to know what and how he take care of Brutus the bear, it must be tough to have a bear as a pet since I learn about Timothy Treadlow's tragic story few years ago. I'm an animal lover and admire Casey for that but I can't help to wonder if his interview is good to be true. I hope that he know what he doing otherwise there'll be a tragedy. (I believe that you know about the tragic story about Travis the chimp attack few months ago? - the Chimp's owner raised Travis for 17 years since he was a baby)

whoaaaa your hot, that lion looks sick almost poor kitty what happened to his mane???????

I understand the temptation. Animal lovers (myself included) often like to daydream that they can live safely among wild animals. What a pleasure and an honor that would be! Sadly, it is a dream...and I really hope Anderson doesn't find that out the hard way. I admire him, and understand that he loves his bear...and I'll bet the bear loves him, in his bear way...but...bears aren't humans. Even a bear that doesn't attack viciously and just in play or out of momentary irritation could easily kill a human. Still, Anderson is happy, that's obvious, and I hope he continues so!

I do remember that . It is what came to my mind when I saw the picture of the bear kissing his owner.

Awww! It melt my heart that he took care of that big bear! I don't know how I'll react to that bear! LOL!
