Back in April 2012 when my wife amd I split and I was staying with a friend, when I went to lay down the room would spin and Id get dizzy, every time I laid down. I blew it off thinking it was because I was losing weight and it was blazing hot out ( they had no ac ) but the basement was cool in the spare bedroom.
by time I moved back to watch my son in August they have subsided but still have one every now and then.
Now for the biggie...
For the past month when I would wake at night my eyes ( eyeballs not eyelids) would dart side to side non stop involuntarily for about a minute or so and Id get dizzy. it happened every now and then, but last night it happened 4 times in a row withing an hour. And when I sleep I actually see a flash of bright light like someone took a picture in the room and it wakes me up but the room is pitch dark... Im getting concerned, going to try and see my doc soon, if not I may go to the ER if it happens again.

I don't have any real advice but please go to the doctor! That sounds really scary. I hope nothing big comes of it...

I get dizzy and see flashing spots when my blood pressure and oxygen saturation is low. I have oxygen in my house. BUT I suggest you see a doctor soon also. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

I was researching online and didnt find the exact case but close, usually a brain cyst or tumor...

But I get the bright flash of light every so often, and in a dark room with my eyes closed I see colors like a kaleidoscope, and sometimes like space travel with little colored lights flying 3D towards me, done this since a kid... now the bright flash and eye movements... Gonna call the doc Monday.

It sound like you have vertigo and should see your doctor and not go to ER .

Upon pulling that up, it explains exactly what Im having and is more in depth with the symtoms, but doesnt explain the lights... which may be related or may be something different all together.?

Sounds like acid trip, LOL.

Kidding. But yeah, now that you describe it in more details... Yeah... I think I have experienced only few of those or more, but not many, before.

Well, here is something and my wife thinks its odd... I can see in the dark, she thought I was kidding because our bedroom is pitch black. I told her to do something and Ill tell her what she is doing and she was shocked. And we think my son can too because he runs around the room at night and not run into anything. Sunlight kills my eyes, so I have to have sunglasses and I always get the darkest lens I can find.

Maybe you are becoming... WOLF MAN!!
Seriously though, I hope it's not a tumor. Your eyes moving involuntarily - that sounds like it's related to part of the brain that controls your vision.

You could have more than one thing going on with you. Have you hurt your head ,by having fall or car accident ? The ER is not really the best place to get a medical diagnosis , you need to see a specialist . It would be best to see your doctor so they can help you find best specialist for you.

Sort of, I have had spinal injury and surgery. My c3-c4 and c6=c7 have been fused, I have 2 plates and 8 screws in my neck. Very painful surgeries and I dont want to go through that again... but may have to in the future as well with my back.
Yhe site said it could be calcium carbonate build up that chipped free and got into the vescular tube? Now I get dizzy looking up or bending over.

It sounds like you have Meniere's. Is the eye movement(virtigo) from side to side positional(can you make it happen by positioning your head a certain way)?

This can be caused by many things such as a virus, change in diet, physical problems within the ears, etc.

As far as the light, are you sure your cell phone isn't going off? Is there a light on a phone in the room or alarm clock?

Nope, It is just like someone took a picture with a flash, just a blinding flash of white light, it will do it weither Im asleep or just laying with my eyes closed.

My eyes mainly do it when I first wake up, but now its doing it when I bend over to pick something up, not just off the floor but off a table as well, No change in diet or anything, just recently started at the gym but was doing it long before that, just worst now.

I have the (at times) the same thing minus the flashes. My last bout seemed to be viral and is almost completely gone now.

You haven't changed your diet at all? Even when starting to work out? No protein shakes?

Do to the doctors and have them check your ears for infection.

No, I get plenty of proteins, I take suppliments ( Vitamins, Amminos and extras of certain vitamins/minerals ) so Im not mal nutrished ( I used to be a personal trainer ) and I was a body builder in my younger years, now Im just trying to get back in shape, taking it easy since Im getting sore afterwards for a few days. Ive had this dizzy weird feeling all morning now, so my wife is going to take me to the ER afterwhile, its a really odd feeling, never experienced this before, the dizziness doesnt bother me so much, its that my eyes start going all stupid and really throws me for a loop.

The extreme vulgarity and obscenity in the way you referred to your wife and stepdaughter are not normal.

They are characteristic symptom of some brain tumors. The assessing doctor should be aware of this.

It is not a question of having enough intake. It is a question of being alergic to what you are eating. The vertigo can very easily be caused by allergy.

it your neck, you been doing house building and working out.it compress nerve in neck, that cause circulation problems which effect balance so even if you asleep it would wake you up....that my guess but it down to you go dr
