Meat Glue?

we usually get a 2.5-3 pound bird, and I get 2 legs, 2 thighs, 2 wings, 2 backs, the breast and the wishbone piece as well as giblets for gravy.

Each person gets on drum OR one thigh OR one whole wing OR half of one breast. Save the leftovers for the next meal. Many people make the mistake of over portioning. We can thank these 'super sized' portions we get at fast food restaurants that gives a really bad idea of what a real portion is. One serving of meat is only about the size of a deck of cards. It's also helpful to think of portions as a 'helping'. Such as your plate should have one portion of meat, one portion of vegetables, one portion of fruits, and one portion of grains such as one roll the size of your fist or one slice of regular bread. Once you get all of these 'helpings' on your plate- your plate will be full, not overflowing.

It also helps to drink lots of fluids with your meal and eat slowly so your stomach has time to send signals to your brain signaling that it is full. Many people also get 'mouth hungry'. They think they are hungry and will snack when really they are thirsty. Down an 8 oz glass of water and you should feel 'full'.

Also keep in mind of portion sizing for little kids. Many people give them adult portions and expect them to make a 'happy plate'. What kids are seeing today as 'child's portions' is really a regular adult portion, and children should be eating less. My daughter can't eat but half of a McDonald's Happy Meal before she says she is full. I don't force her to finish, but I do box it up and save it for another meal later in the day.

I'm not 100% innocent of this, there are times even I pig out - but I try to follow these rules to save money and to watch my waistline. :giggle:

If only my kids would eat that way. We try, but they come back to the kitchen and eat more. If I try to stop them, then I get over ruled by the MIL. Ah well. We get into our own place and they go back to eating by my rules hopefully.

This show is actually from Australia and I watched the show and it is not surprising as we all eat meat - plus did you know that gluing meat together such like this is banned in Japan and around across europe? Don't ask me for the source, because I watched the show with CC.

Hey...this meat glue thing is seriously gross..BUT I got to tell ya they used bone dust ( no I did not ask where they got that) and some kind of super medical glue to fill in the thin opening that was remaining from my fractured skull...I thought they were kidding..they were not. Maybe that's what made me start being this way...no..I was always like this..laughing..Midnight♥♥♥
