I don't know how long I will be out from my dentist appointment tomorrow which I am *dreading*....

I did mention about my problem at this thread but I will just repeat what is wrong with me...

I have an appointment tomorrow at 9am to maul my mouth just to yank out four wisdom teeth.
Lovely. Yes I have joined the club of post-Wisdom people...

I have two impacted teeth in my lower jaw which are painful so I suspect these teeth would give the dentist one or two troubles with his pliers... They recommended to pull out the upper wisdom teeth just because they would affect my overall apperance (meaning: these damned wisdom would f*ck up my perfect teeth and force me to resort to put on braces in the late stages of my life).

I am nervous because I have heard horrible stories-- endless bleeding, swollen up like a chipmunk, painful to eat/chew anything... I just DON'T want to suffer afterward. I have suffered enough to let them growing out.

My husband will cater me as my nurse by bringing me fruity smoothies, ice creams, and ice cubes for me, so don't worry...

Wait... why am I telling yall this? So you won't freak out about my absence. :) And that if you saw me posting something with garbling and incoherent messages about the wonderful effects of morphine-- IGNORE ME. ;)

I went through the pain TWICE and it took me 1 1/2 - 2 weeks both times to start eating normal food again. You're smart getting all four taken out at the same time. It has to be one of the most unpleasant ways to lose weight or sleep. At least, you have hubby to help you recover. Good luck to you.

ahhh u ll do fine, gnarlygal ! i had 4 wisdoms removed at same time when i was 14. TG i had a wonderous nap while my wisdoms were removed. at least i lost ~10 lbs in a week. ;)

I've been gone 4 wisdoms removed same day.. and end up swollen my cheek.. *mumbling* barely talk.. so I took scarf and covers up my face.. * gone to Deaf Bowling* aint' going show them my face.. kept hiding and covers.. somehow , my friend took off my scarf *surprise* Everyone were shock and quiet for while then laughing at me.. Hello Chippy! r u beautiful sexy chipmuck.. I walked and sat down felt so embrassement.. *mumbling* Thanks to my friend (Pat) I knew him well He is cool guy ever I met.. He comforts me.. LOL
That reason why He call'n me, Chippy... Helloo... where is cheek go ? *rolls* give me a break.. I never forget that moments.. where I used lived in Ottawa.
 
Aww, gnarly...I will keep you in mind. It's so nice that your hubby will be taking such good care of you. Keep me posted on everything!!!
 
Good Luck with your wisdom teeth ! I had three teeth pull out when I was in Hong Kong, China. I drank damn herb tea for 10 days. It made me sick but it recovery really quickly !

I would like to remind you to keep your mouth close while I come over to your pillow. I did not want to wear gas mask to smell your breath odor. I will see you soon while you will sleep.

I survived. I am doing pretty good even though today is only second day since yesterday's dentist appointment.

I was put to sleep which I didn't want in the first place but they said it is necessary since one of my teeth will be more painful than others. So I was drugged with Valium and Vivcidane something. My husband took record of all drugs I swallowed, lol.

One of my friend told me that a shot will trigger a tearful reaction in females and a laughing reaction in males... True? She said it is something with our central nervous system. Because when they gave me a shot to send me to meet the Sandman, I started to BAWL for no reason. I was in and out, in and out and then finally, it is all a blank. (I was out of the dentist's office around 12:30)

Around 8pm, I was finally coherent and rational and AM able to remember stuff. My husband said I kept asking same questions and he kept answering back the same stuff but I forgot them. So by fourth time I have asked the same question, he told me he will tell me tomorrow (today). Poor my husband! To deal with rambling insane woman...
I am slightly swollen on my left jaw, where the "difficult" tooth was at.... that is the only area I am having pain and swollen jaws. Otherwise, I am totally fine. I think all of those drugs helped... ;) My friends was surprised to see me back up and running as if nothing happened to me. It took most of them three days to fully recover.

I am still eating soft food. Mashed yams, cream of wheat, icecream, yogurt, et cetera. Hm. I wonder how much pounds I will lose?!

I definitely won't want to do this all over again... (wincing at the pain)
