I don't understand why we need to go to a Dentist...

I saw my old dog, my cousin kept my dog for 10 years...
and his teeth isn't rotten, nor have plague or blacken...

But those Dentists drill holes in my teeth...
trying to clean my teeth with those tools...

I believe those Dentists ruining my teeth.

And fluroride doesn't seem to help...

And many people are losing teeth....

I wonder how many people here had their tooth pulled?

Dentists are ripping us off.... do you think so...
they make you think that you don't take care of your teeth...

Look at those Indians, who never went to Dentist...
do they ever lose a tooth?

And I look at my puppy Britney, her teeth is whiter than mine...
sharper and can bite and grip for a long time...

:Owned:

I think we don't need to go to Dentist.

I only had a cavity maybe 2 times in my life, but everytime I go to the dentist, I have a clean bill of health. :) I use Crest toothpaste which the fluoride and anti-cavity formula really helps. :)
I did have teeth pulled (bottom teeth) but that's because my permanent teeth never came in...the dentist just pulled the baby teeth out when I was 18 years old, and put in a fixed bridge in because the adult teeth never showed up...I never even have had wisdom teeth either!! I think it is some kind of birth defect.
Common sense would say you need to take care of your teeth...brush and floss everyday...or you will lose teeth. There are some people who does just that but still have problems (dental disease that wasn't a fault of their own).
Did you know that if you don't take care of your teeth, it can effect your heart? That's one reason why I had to be pre-med before I go to the dentist for cleanings because I still have a mild heart problem. :)
Dogs teeth are nicer because they do a lot of chewing....I bought both of my dogs in the past, chew toys that are designed to clean teeth....and they work. :) Milkbone biscuits does the same thing. :)

I thought that you might want to know that the Government banned amalgam fillings because it is a mercury. It is officially illegal for a dentist to fill the amalgam in your tooth. A plastic filling is the most safe of all.

Some companies mixed with plastic and metal together because they want to make more profit. Make sure that you get the pure plastic and hopefully that your dentist is honest with you.

If you already had the amalgam fillings recently, I would recommend you to sue your dentist for breaking the law.

I have the pure plastic fillings before the mercury was banned since 5 years ago. I had about seven amalgrams removed, and it was awful experience for me sitting on the chair for 1 and 1/2 hour for each three appointments. Since then, my plastic fillings have not broken yet. Whew!

Maybe, we gotta chew the Milkbone biscuits. Me - :giggle:

Dogs DO get cavities and plenty of them will lose their teeth at their eldest age!

Dentist is legitimate!!! Some people, that don't take care of their teeth don't get rot as easily as others! It depends on genetics. Same with dogs, not all dogs gets their teeth rots easily.

Seems like most folks forget that lots of our food we eat today didn't exist (at least in the way it is prepared today) when you speak of Indians or folks who lived in the past. Candies were uncommon, most food was fresh not kept in a freezer or a refrigerator (technology was not there of course). People also ate a lot more vegetables. Our food today has so much sugar and other junk in it that it is bound to have an impact on our teeth.

It is always a good thing to take care of our teeth using a good toothpaste and brushing regularly. That is just common sense. BTW - Things were worst in the past because when you had problems...you had problems and the only solution was to pull that tooth! They didn't have laughing gas to numb it either.

As for dentists, there are good, bad and average ones out there. The trick is finding a good one you trust.

The bottomline is if you eat better and brush your teeth well twice a day (include good ole flossing), then you will most likely do pretty well with your teeth. There is always those people whose teeth just seem to decay no matter what they do.

oh come on....

have you seen the teeth of people who live in the gheto? or ever the rich moron who does not like to brush? their teeth are rotten and falling out.

i worked with one guy who had millions of dollars, his house was the size of kendal school here at gally...and his mouth was like... a corpse! brown and rotting with missing teeth , his smelled like vultures asshole!

and he wondered why he could not get a girl!!!!! captain moron!!!!

well since most of my teeth are ruining....
except my front teeth

I'm planning to let the dentist removed all my bad teeth...
and just have replacement teeth....

I don't want false teeth... the one you have to take it out of your
mouth and put it in cup every night.

Replacement teeth are expensive, a thousand per tooth to replace...
but I hope there is insurance to cover that....

Hmm... I wonder are there insurance to replace you?

:werd:

Tell me about it. Two years ago, my dentist said I dont need to have my wisdom teeth surgically removed because it will grow and easily be pulled out...

Fast-forward to today-- after a long quarrel with the dentist and insurance company, I am *finally* accepted to have my impacted wisdom teeth to be SURGICALLY removed since they are not growing the way it was supposed to be.

This is what my bottom wisdom teeth look like right now.

They could save me the pains and the crookness in my teeth by removing it long time ago!

:fu2: @ the dentist

why not sue them for misdiagnose and malpractice and pain and suffering...
and then they might pulled it out for you for free....?

Oh yes! some dogs DO eat sweets even though it is not healthy for them. My dog loves candy, damn!!! She sneaks to get sweet snacks. She likes almost anything, even spicy!

If you get your azz off from SSI and start work, you will eventually can afford the dental implants! Most insurance do NOT cover them, or just give you up to 500 dollars lifetime coverage, that is it. The rest, you have to come up with the dough yourself.

They will send out more smoke screens. They will do everything to keep their money. :ugh2:
I don't care about it anymore, really. I am just glad that they will cover it now. The insurance company was the culprit really-- they denied me after the dentist sent a xray of my impacted teeth. They claimed that I won't feel pains so it would be ok for me to keep my impacted teeth. Did appeal-- got accepted and they will pay for the removal. After crawling around in their smoke screens, on my knees appealing and begging, I think I will give up on this malpractice suit... One fight for my teeth was enough.

Miss Pino,

LOL! I like your sense of humor, but I don't know if you are joking. I found it hilarious! I haven't laugh in ages! Actually, if you go to England, you will see more britons with bad teeth than Americans. ;) Dentists and flouride do help a lot!

A few months ago, my sister had a tooth pain for a long time. She had x-rays, and her dentist pulled her wrong tooth when she was on anesthesia. Now, on right side of her face where she lost her good tooth looks older than the other side. She will sue her dentist for his sloppy job. She went to other dentist and pulled the right one. When she gets the money from her dentist, she will have someone to fill up her hole tooth to make her face normal.

We don't like dentists. We are responsible to take care ourselves. My uncle has false teeths. ssshhh, he looks a sort of like a rabbit tooth. :giggle:
