McCain giving up on Michigan

No surprise. Michigan's economy is in so bad shape so people there needs a new leadership of Obama Barack and Joe Biden in order to prop up their economy. I have watched news from Detroit on TV occasionally and the job loss has been growing almost every day. People are hungry for a change of leadership so they can be given a new hope for better life and stronger economy.

you mean they're in dire need of government bailout too at expense of tax payers on federal scale? Blame the Michigan government, not White House.

Good! it probably will be a sign that Obama is gonna kick McLame's ass so bad it would make Saint Ronnie's 1984 landslide look like peanuts. People in Michigan are losing jobs right and left then you have Detroit just only being a GHOST of its former self.

Detroit and Michigan could sure use the Obama magic. Michigan is the one state IMO that needs to be brought back to its former glory as the automobile capitol it used to be.

No. They do not need a bailout, but their gigantic auto industry may need a massive loan to prop up their business and keep workers from being laid off. Whenever the plants or assembly lines are closed, they affect some job loss at some plants which make auto parts in some states and Canada, especially Ontario. My friend had his working hour cut by twelve hours because the order of auto parts by the Big Three were canceled.

The city, county and state government cannot be blamed alone. The federal government bear some responsibility for this mess, too.

simple. STOP MAKING SHITTY PLASTIC CARS! Learn a thing or two from Japanese manufacturers. It's pretty simple actually - a nicer design, better interior with non-cheap plastic feels, and better gas mileage. how hard can that be? This mustang car is overrated.

Well Detroit is CATCHING up to the Japanese lately. 20 years ago Detroit may have made shit cars, but since then GM, Ford and Chrysler have woken up and caught themselves up to the quality of the Japanese and the Koreans. Have you driven a post-2000's Detroit car lately? I do as I own a 2001 FORD and its still that damn reliable at 154k .

and the Mustang? It's built alongside MAZDA 6's at a Mazda factory in Flat Rock, MICHIGAN. Hell Id rather buy the current Madza S197 Mustangs over the old River Rouge built Mustangs.

Good, cuz I am in union. If so, I will have to put up a debate with you.

so are you a greedy Union who demand a more unreasonable premium package?

Mind ya, without the unions, there wont be a MIDDLE CLASS! The unions are there to keep the playing field even. and u call urself an anti-union yet u should have thought of what the past members of the union have SACRIFICED in the Great Depression to bring you the minimum wage. social security, employer-provided health insurance, and a workplace free of harrassment. Michigan has a much unionized workforce there thanks to the UAW (United Auto Workers). They put in so much blood, sweat and tears and they deserve to be highly paid for what they have done for the American economy.

and you just pissed me off with your anti -union rant cause I'm a member of the UNITE-HERE union.

anti-union? no I did not say that. I said I despised greedy Union... like UAW. Don't anybody realize UAW's causing a big financial drain for American automakers? I do not believe they deserve to be highly paid. They should receive the right pay but not low pay.

Why dont you point a finger at Bush!!!!

I made a reply to Jiro that the federal government bear some responsibility for economic woes in Michigan when he pointed at Michigan government.

On Wednesday night, the campaign decided that the $1 million a week it was spending in Michigan wasn't worth it with polls showing Obama approaching a double-digit lead, according to Republican insiders, who requested anonymity to avoid annoying the McCain campaign.

The McCain is pulling out of Michigan due to financial reasons as well as shifting resources to other states.

They claim that Obama has the double digit lead but one wonders if the McCain campaign is in financial trouble as speculated on the news.

yes but it's largely Michigan government.... and UAW... and companies within Michigan. There should be NO government bailout in ANY way, shape, or form. This is free market. Just because there was federal deregulation doesn't mean you can get greedy and reckless :nono:
