Oic!

Why not you start a dating service. I tried and no one wanted to sign up. I tried for my area and the rule was for in person only, not online. It did not work. I folded up shop in 2003. I ran it for a year. Only ONE paid member! Oh well! It was for both Hearing and Deaf.

Good luck and you will need that!

The reason I rather to have my dating service catered for locals and offline because so much negative and the insecurity of people meeting people online. I went through that crap once too many! Ok, many times! NO MORE!

That is why I tried to have a local dating service to draw people AWAY from the internet.

Okay, let people find out for themselves!

KINGOFNOOBS with Ms Empress. How about it now? :thumb:

You misunderstood.

^^^ what are you trying to say ? Online pp are full of losers?

What I am trying to say is that there are dangers of online dating. Of course some dating sites are scam like Eharmony and Match. Also you get the nigeria females writing you or the filippinas writing you when you say in profiles "USA ONLY!"

Also I went through quite a bit. First one I ever met in person was so different than I thought she was online. We communicated great but in person, whoa! Different personality, and the way she is.. no no no!!

I went through 9 ladies in person after meeting them in person during 1999. That was a great year I met.

First deaf woman I met in person was living in Rochester and I am in Syracuse area... well, it was a joke. We planned to meet in Rochy at a bookstore near RIT and she did not show up. She called the store manager that she can not make it. UH!? Embarrassed me!

Then I contacted her online and she apologized so then we still wanted to meet. Second time, she did not show up but I got smart--contact her while I was in rochester. Then we met. She was nice but think high class. Full of crap.

Then I gave her a book of mine (my first published book) and then she blew her temper! What was that for?? I was like, BYE!!

Later, I met other females--a doctor but she was weird. Then an other weird woman who was out of character--not my type but she wanted me so badly. She was even late often to meet me. We met a few times. I asked her why late. She was ONLINE! ADDICTED!

Another one didnt appear the same online as well. There was one from Ohio who wanted to meet me. She refused to show me picture till few days before she was to come to meet me. She mailed me a picture of her real self that she lied to me about her weight and appearance. I dumped her right away before she could come to my hometown.

There are more! I had a long distance relationship with a lady whom I met at a Deaf Baptist Conference in WPB, Fl. in June 2001. We had a great week and then I had to go home when the conference ended. We kept in touch thru pagers, online. Very sweet lady as I thought she was.

But I did not know her enough until I MOVED to Fla about six months later after I finished my training for CAD. Everything turned upside down. We were engaged but she was not meant to be and I had hard time finding a job in Miami. Go figure! I overstayed down there beyond the break up in June. I moved back in August. That was 2002.

After break up, I wanted to find someone in person in my hometown and that was the goal. As I was online chatting and someone I knew of told me about this deaf woman in CT and I did not really want to meet someone out of state. I ended up doing so because she sounded nice but I was skeptical since the fact I went through this relationship with a woman in Miami!

I prayed to God and then with very cautious watch upon her when she visited. I was way serious. Later, she went home after I told her I will fast and pray for an answer if I am to marry her.

Three days after she left and it was Christmas morning, I got my answer and God said no as God promised me someone else for me to marry. God promised me since 1985 in a dream vision.

That deaf woman wasnt the one. God warned me about her something bad about her. I listened to God then I told that deaf woman my answer was no.

She persisted and she wanted to marry me. She even came up to my hometown again July 2003 to try to win my heart. Well, she blew it with bad temper when I complimented a cousin I havent seen in 18 years. That cousin grew up to be a beautiful successful business woman. She dressed like it. Anyway, the deaf woman blew her temper in front of me, the cousins, my mom, and my mom's bf. I said, "That's it, you are going home on the bus!" I kicked her there! Literally! I said no no no!!

When I moved back that August, I started the dating service because my friend has a dating service and we help each other. Her service is geared for older secular people. Mine is for younger and my age people who are Christians and for deaf. Two sections. I held bible studies for singles. It was only sucessful because of a friend who was good inviting people. He long since passed away due to cancer in 2004.

The deaf woman for the rest of 2003 until March 2004, I had to call the cops to tell her to stop stalking me online. I talked to the ladies locally and that is how that stalker stopped me.

That is why I am against online dating. I know I wrote is long and this is second time I wrote this. I wrote this post in similar form in another thread. That is why I wrote my book called, "Where are you my Bride?" about my bad experiences in dating. Over 500 pages. But the book ends with my 40th Birthday that God showed me a rainbow that I asked since 2 months prior to my birthday. This is unusual we get a rainbow in October in my hometown in Central NY. Normally in June thru August. Many people saw it and gasped with my testimony about this event.

You will need to wait for the book to be published and then wait for the sequel to my first book. I do not want to spoil it. However, I can tell you this, I am happy today. And yes, I met her at my same friend's singles dance. :D

Bullshit.

My father married the woman he met on eHarmony last October.
I married the woman I met online last December. (We met in 2004 online).

Your bad experiences do not translate or apply to everyone else.
