Marty was attacked by a dog last night while at the duck pond. It was a dog I never seen before and both dogs did their doggies thing and out of nowhere the Corgi mix bite my dog sweet little butt! I started to hit the dog with my cane but it did nothing , the corgi was also on his leash and the owner got their dog off just as I was going to give the dog one huge blow to his head.. Poor Marty! I called his vet and he called in some antibiotic and told me wash the bite and put some antibiotic on it. This is the first time a dog of mine been attacked by another dog and I not sure what to do
and so I took Marty to another vet and he shaved the bite and told me to put warm compress on it twice a dog and to squeeze the wound a little too. Poor puppy that is going to hurt like HELL and he'll think I try to hurt him.
My daughter and granddaughter where with me and my granddaughter was walking over to pet the corgi, I am so glad she did not get near that dog.
If he had bite my granddaughter between my daughter and me that dog would be dead! I got the have the owner of the corgi first name, I had nothing to write their own so my daughter got their names but not the last name! I have the dog tag # and city he lives in and called the ACO yesterday
and she never called back . I am upset and that my sweet little dog got attacked. :(

That is sad. :( Poor Marty. He probably will be afraid of dogs, but I think he will know you are trying to help him.

When I had to remove a tick fro Marty he would not go near me after, I am really worried about having squeeze his wound twice a day . He a very sensitive little dog ,if I drop something by accident near him he take is very personal. I was at the park to today with my daughter and granddaughter and some jerks had their dog off the leash near the playground and off have to be on their leash . The dog started to run toward my dog and I told the wonder to keep their dog back but they did not so started yelling at the dog to scarce it and that worked . I told the guy my dog was just bitten by another dog and the jerk said " Then my dog should not be here!" Nice the ass was blaming the victim . I told to him to blank himself! If the ACO was there that dog owners would had to pay a fine. I was pissed off that he did nothing to keep his dog away from Marty, then tell me I should not be at the park!

And that you for caring about my little dog. It's nice to know someone does , I mean 9 people and they say nothing.

:( oh no, whatdidyousay! That's bad, I'm sorry this happened to you and Marty! I wish I could give you a real hug but here is one from far...
I'm glad your poor dog wasn't more hurt worse but still it's scary for everyone!

I'm wondering if there's a way for someone to help you if or when you try to squeeze the wound a little bit? Like, if someone could feed him something he wonderful <something meaty and/or stinky that you know he'd love> he ONLY gets for that time - while you're caring for his wound? Or other way around, like you do the food distraction while someone else you trust handles his wound?

to show that he harmless. I been  off and on. I know it does not help my dog but I just feel so horrible.

ohhhh...I see<head nodding>

I understand how it is to feel that way. I'm sorry.
Marty probably doesn't remember that same way you do. He's lucky to have you:aw:

You're right, I was outside with Marty tonight and he wanted me to pick him up and he put his little face up to mine. It nice to know a couple of people care about my dog.

That is awful. I'm really sorry this happened to you. God help the person who ever hurt my dog. Hope Marty feels better soon.

I'm very sorry to hear that Marty was attacked. It must have been a traumatic event for both of you. I'm sorry that your granddaughter had to experience that, too.

I hope Marty has a quick and full recovery. I don't think he'll hold a grudge against you for tending to his wounds. He might not like the treatments now but dogs are very forgiving. :)

Next time if you can, kick a dog attacker in the ribs really hard, it will back out because it will feel painful.

I wanted to but my balance is so poor I would had fallen. So that is why I used my cane but I should had hit the dog harder , I was going to but he let go of my poor doggie.

I went to the city hall to see our ACO and fill out a report and the ACO it going to call the ACO in city the dog owner lives in. When I was walking back to my car I saw the dog that bit my dog in the City SQ. I got Marty into my car real fast and went to speak to the owner and get her last name. While we where talking her dog slipped out of his collar and started to run around. Holy CRAP! I am so glad Marty was in my car or the dog would attacked him again . I tried to reach the ACO in the city the dog is from to let them know not only does the dog attack other dogs he can get out of his collar. I called my ACO and told someone and hope they'll tell this to the ACO. I am worried that dog could slip out of his collar and go after a child or another dog. That is a great danger to other people , a dog that able to slip out his collar and attacked for no reasons.

Marty like to fall asleep at night with his head next my face and tried to do that last night wearing his E collar. Poor puppy, so fell asleep on my arm instead.

Seems like an irresponsible dog owner. I hope you get action from the ACO or police.

I agree! They only had the dog 2 months ,it a recuse dog from Tennessee and they have no idea what of background the dog has . So the dog should be in a harness , is part Corgi and harnesses are better for small dogs . And The owner should not be walking her dogs near other dogs. It should be quarantine for 10 days.
