Marines Answer to Gun Control

Marine Corp's General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and you have to read his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this!!
This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout troop visiting his military installation.

Female interviewer: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?
General Reinwald: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.
Female interviewer: *Gasp* Shooting! Thats a bit irresponsible, isnt it?
General Reinwald: I dont see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.
Female interviewer: Dont you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?
General Reinwald: I dont see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.
Female interviewer: But you are equipping them to become violent killers.
General Reinwald: Well, you are equipped to be a prostitute, but you are not one....are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.

I agree with him. Guns don't kill people. People do. You take a gun away from a killer, he's still gonna kill with a knife. You take a knife away from the same killer, he's still gonna use a baseball bat. It's better to teach your kid how to swim instead of fencing your swiming pool to prevent your kid from going near it. It's better to talk to your kid about wearing condoms than trying to prevent your kid from having sex. Better safe than sorry! :thumb:
 
Oh my god!! :shock: wow she got blunt!! poor lady and the ladies who overheard what the general said to the interviewer.

I loved to see Female Interview OWNED by General Reinward! My young sister was former Army, loved that one, too. :thumb:
