Here is what they look like. They are not really a strongly flavored cookie, but Joey the Peke says they are the greatest thing he has ever tasted!

Awww those cookies look good to me. what kind of maple syrup did you you use for it?
In the Midwest I don't have huge access, so I have to admit it's Archer Farms Organic from Target.
Grade A medium amber.

Unfortunately, I changed my mind and I decided to bake a maple syrup cake instead.
my girlfriend hosted a """" pinterest""" party. some of us did not use pinterest like I did. LOL.
Most of them liked my cake. We all did give some feedback about my cake. I think I need to work on sifting with flour etc. I am pleased to know that My cake is almost gone. The hoster took the last big pieces of cake for tomorrow so she can eat more. LOL I think it tastes so rich. I ll post the recipe here later if I remembner.

CAKE:
4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. maple syrup
3/4 c. milk
ICING:
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. maple syrup
4 c. confectioners sugar
2/3 c. walnuts
CAKE: Grease and flour three 9 inch cake pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix maple syrup with milk. Add flour, milk syrup to mixture. Mix well. Divide into 3 pans. Make a depression in center of batter. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. I cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool.
ICING: Cream butter, add sugar and syrup. Beat until smooth. Place cooled cake on plate. Frost with icing and a few chopped nuts. Repeat with next 2 layers. Cover top with rest of icing and nuts.
but I added 1/4 cinnamon, from 1 1/2 cup maple syrup that I added 1/2 to become 2 cups. I used brown sugar, not white sugar. You can look up at varied of maple syrup cake recipes that offers ground ginger or any flavored spices to use your judgement on measuring the amout adjustment. I think 2 cup maple syrup did work well for cake.
