Making offers and how low??

It's to do with CL nor deaf, not anything.

Besides in an e-mail, unless your signature says "Do not call, test only, I am deaf"

I'd never know on Cl that you are deaf, or maybe blind, or have three tigers in your back yard ... or anything... except you put up an ad.

What I do If I have less money then the price $XX FIRM, I contact the seller;

"Hi, I see you are trying to sell your (item) at (price). I am local to you and would like to know if I could purchase it for (new price) and (trade item), or if you are willing to take (new price) if it is in cash on the day and place of your choice. Sorry to inconvenience you with a lower off but it is what I can afford."

ten dorrah???? no??? c'mon!

I would really get in trouble with the OP... I am the one that is always wanting to wheel and deal to get me a bargain!! :lol:

I make offers all the time, wheel and deal til one of us backs out. Many times I have gave in, and many times I have walked away.

Believe it or not, but I have bartered a lot. No, I don't have any tigers in my yard. I don't think my neighbors will want tigers in my yard.

But you -might- have tigers in your yard... so I -might- get eaten by a tiger if I respond to your ad. ;)

And I might show up with 3 doz fresh chicken eggs at $3 a doz- one dollar travel charge (delivery of eggs) and $30 cash for the bike.

It's a CL thing... I promise.

I'll look up other CL things like I want to sell and post $5 under their price if I am willing to take that or lower for the item.

Yes, as stated in the article you quoted, "Yes, in most parts of the country, used mattresses can be resold as long as they meet certain labeling and processing requirements. "

In, "most parts of the country" not all parts of the country. You have to check state law.
I think those laws are for retailers, not private sales by individuals.
