WINFIELD, West Virginia (AP) -- The body of a Powerball jackpot winner's 17-year-old granddaughter was hidden under a van for weeks after she died of a drug overdose, police said.

The teen's boyfriend, Brandon Crosier, 19, was charged Thursday with unlawful disposal of a body and with two unrelated felony drug charges.

Brandi Bragg died December 5, 2004, of a drug overdose in the home of Steve Crosier, Brandon Crosier's father. Her death came two years after her grandfather, Jack Whittaker, won nearly $315 million in the Powerball lottery -- the largest single jackpot in history.

question that I have raised, what is the real motivation on death of Winner's granddaughter? Was the overdose cover up in plot to steal money, eh?

No matter how hard you try to keep it quiet. One person find out, its a gossip news for them! They will multiply them and your privacy is gone. In fact, you will be found out that your lotto winners... Your families can drive you nuts! Expecting you to share the pot, that is where overwhelming starts and seems never ends forever.

I think its requirement for you to be in publicity when hit jackpot, these medias have the right to know. So, impossible to hide.

Again, another good reason not to play Lotto!

Hey, you never know!

Yep. Another good reason not to play Lotto. What about ppl wanna marry someone now?  Weird. I remember when my kids' dad wanted to invited his friends over to play poker games. They were talkin' about the bets. So before they try to put their hands in their pockets, I grabbed the jar of pennies off the center table and put it on the table for them to use it. No money, no cash! :nono: Gamblin' is not gonna happen in my home. So they shut their mouths up and played like boys with pennies.

How is that a reason why it's not good to play the lotto. It's not because of the lotto that she died. It's because of her own "I'm rich" ego getting the best of her. It's like those football and baseball players. They become famous and get better pay. Later, they make so much that they think they can afford to get away with drugs. They eventually lose themselves to drugs and alcohol. This happened with several players from the Dallas Cowboys after they won several Super Bowls in a row.
