I walked around my town. Homeowners grass are beautiful and healthy. It made me proud that my town is very healthy and beautiful. I see many kids were playing, laughing, and running around the green lawn.

My lawn is alright and a few yellow grasses. Now, I am so glad that I never use any chemcial on my lawn. Why? Many homeowners hire their professional to spray the chemical on their lawn to make their grass dark green and healthy. These chemcials are well known toxic to human.

When the kids are playing on the healthy dark green lawn, they come home and walked on a carpet or a rug. There are invisible stains on the rug. These stains will stay on the rug for a long time - approxiately 25 years. Imagine that you let your baby to crawl around the rug. This baby, later, could be sick and develop some health problem in the future.

Please don't bother to listen your professional lawn owner about how safe the chemcial is. They alway say that the chemcial is organic. This is very tricky. I am telling you now when you see a small sign on the grass, the sign says to keep off the grass. Why? Of course, it's chemical.

Every year, the professionals spray on the grass. The chemical build up in the soil (not grass), and the more toxic become "thick" in order to create people's health problems.

Let's say that you have weeds on your garden or lawn. I tell you now. Optionally - First choice: weed them out by yourself as excercise - I know it's not fun job. 2nd choice: boil hot water, and pour it on the weeds. The weed's root will not grow again. I heard that there is an alternative method, but I don't remember it.

Wouldn't you rather to live long and healthy without using any toxic chemicals?

When you see a poor or fair or some weeds on the grass, that means that there is no chemcials which is good.

Isn't that interesting?

That's really interesting! Do you have link about this?

Well. Some people at a health conference told us about it in PA. I do not remember the link that they gave me because I lost my plastic bag along with the papers in it. Here are some links so that you get the idea what the story is all about.

I just do not know why the government won't stop the chemical company to sell its products to the customers. It won't change a thing. I thought that the government would take care of people's health in the first place.

My cat died of chemical poisioning about 10 yrs ago. He was an outdoor cat, and he was sick for a few days but my parent couldn';t stop him from going outside cuz he was sick.. but he went out and never came back. We suspect he died somewhere else. But it was chemical on next door neighbour and had sign... But the Sign usually says stay off grass because have following chemicals on it.. So i dont know what the state's look like but our signs warn epople about poisin..

Quite interesting indeed.

THIS is more interesting tho...

KNOW YOUR A.B.C's.
by Dr. Joyce M. Woods

Begin by thinking of your home as a toxic waste dump. The average home today contains 62 toxic chemicals - more than a chemistry lab at the turn of the century. More than 72,000 synthetic chemicals have been produced since WW II. Less than 2% of synthetic chemicals have been tested for toxicity, mutagenic and carcinogenic effects, or birth defects. The majority of chemicals have never been tested for long-term effects.

1. An EPA survey concluded that indoor air was 3 to 70 times more polluted than outdoor air.

2. Another EPA study stated that the toxic chemicals in household cleaners are 3 times more likely to cause cancer than outdoor air.

3. CMHC reports that houses today are so energy efficient that "out-gassing" of chemicals has no where to go, so it builds up inside the home.

4. We spend 90% of our time indoors, and 65% of that time at home. Moms, infants and the elderly spend 90% of their time in the home.

5. National Cancer Association released results of a 15-year study concluding that women who work in the home are at a 54% higher risk of developing cancer than women who work outside the home.

6. Cancer rates have almost doubled since 1960.

7. Cancer is the Number ONE cause of death for children.

8. There has been a 26% increase in breast cancer since 1982. Breast cancer is the Number ONE killer of women between the ages of 35 and 54. Primary suspects are laundry detergents, household cleaners and pesticides.

9. There has been a call from the U.S./Canadian Commission to ban bleach in North America. Bleach is being linked to the rising rates of breast cancer in women, reproductive problems in men and learning and behavioral problems in children.

10. Chemicals get into our body through inhalation, ingestion and absorption. We breathe 10 to 20 thousand liters of air per day.

11. There are more than 3 million poisonings every year. Household cleaners are the Number ONE cause of poisoning of children.

12. Since 1980, asthma has increased by 600%. The Canadian Lung Association and the Asthma Society of Canada identify common household cleaners and cosmetics as triggers.

13. ADD/ADHD are epidemic in schools today. Behavioral problems have long been linked to exposure to toxic chemicals and molds.

14. Chemical and environmental sensitivities are known to cause all types of headaches.

15. Labeling laws do not protect the consumer - they protect big business. The New York Poison Control Center reports that 85% of product warning labels were either inadequate or incorrect for identifying a poison, and for first aid instructions.

16. Formaldehyde, phenol, benzene, toluene, xylene are found in common household cleaners, cosmetics, beverages, fabrics and cigarette smoke. These chemicals are cancer causing and toxic to the immune system.

17. Chemicals are attracted to, and stored in fatty tissue. The brain is a prime target for these destructive organics because of its high fat content and very rich blood supply.

18. The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health has found more than 2500 chemicals in cosmetics that are toxic, cause tumors, reproductive complications, biological mutations and skin and eye irritations.

19. Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, circulatory disorders, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, and hormonal problems are diseases commonly related to chemical exposure.

20. Pesticides only have to include active ingredients on the labels, even though the inert (inactive) ingredients may account for 99%, many of which are toxic and poisons.

eek.. to be honest.. i never water my lawn.. and its brown.. so be it.. let the nature calls.. if a neighboor discrimiate my lawn.. i laugh at them and tell them why wate water bills.

anyway i never use chemicals to kill weeds, etc.. i just pull them out hoping the whole root comes out along the way so it won't grow again.

but honestly.. i do use grass seeds in the spring for missing spots.

Yes, I'm with you, DeafSUBA98.

I NEVER beleive to use any chemicals on my garden and also in the house, too because I know they are toxic... example about flykiller sprays etc.... I do not use them.

My grass turn into dark green with the help from rain... ;)

I am really surprised to read # 3. I am thinking of building a concrete house, but this info got me attention, and now I don't know what to do.

For # 9, true - I have heard of it. My mother also told me about it. I'm glad that you bought it up because we use the bleach for our laundry once a while. I am just wondering if it is ok for us to buy a natural bleach at a health food store.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER put chemical in the yard.

Mine, i just put grass seeds with no chemical in, and just water the yard, my grass are GREEN since...

If you have dogs, ALWAYS clean up the craps and put in the baggies and throw them in the trash. If you leave in the yard, it would ruin and you will see spots in your yard. I always clean my yard and I know I was told that I am the Poop-Scooper in my yard.

That does look good on your value of your real estate. You will get a few cents profit....

It is not surprising once you start looking at some of the health problems in this country. One is allergies and the other is asthma...we have seen a tremendous increase in these alone in the last couple of decades. Coinicidence? I don't think so....

Yeah, I wanted a new house too but when I found out myself, I'll settle for a 1900-1920's drafty house. It always smells better in the older houses anyway. As for natural bleach, I just use Mela-Brite for my clothes and Mela-Magic for my floors. They smell great and they don't choke me like Clorox used to. :)

Yea, we discovered Meleleuca products too. Wonderful stuff and you avoid the chemical overload to your systems. That was one of the main reasons we started using it. There is so much stuff out there that people are using to clean their house, clothes and so on that it is literally killing them in the long run.
