whenever i login, i have to click on redirect or wait to redirect..but you should improve that by adding a button that says "proceed" instead of waiting to be redirected to the main site.

Also, if you haven't notice, whenever i am being logged in, i cannot see the top right corner where the private messages is located. It shows the login and password box thing.

Also, whenever i logged in, i have to click on other thread to see my private message box in the top right corner HOWEVER, i have to re-log in.

Just want to tell you sometime i cannot log in even though i have the right password and userid and i have to do it many time to make sure it goes through.

So please look over that problem and correct it.

Thank you!

Are you on dial up? Curious. I do not experience any of these problems. Maybe just a setting adjustment on your 'puter, maybe. Do you use windows xp?...do you have toolbars, example, yahoo, google?

Just an attempt to be helpful is all. I am not a mod/admin/owner, nor do I play one on the TV or internet.

Actually, it has experieneced to be the same for me too... ONCE you are logged in, it automatically, goes back to the main page and it makes you think you are NOT logged in, but just click "Today's posts" and you will be logged in OK.

When you log in, make sure you click on on the "Remember Me" checkbox. Also, on the redirection page there's a link that says "Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you." You can click on that if you do not want to wait or, like it says, your browser does not automatically redirect you to the main page.

If the above doesn't work, try removing your web browser's cookies and see if that works.

Alternatively, you can try using a different web browser; i.e., Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

i don't think you quite get it yet.

I am fully aware of how the forum function works. I used to be a moderator on a torrent forum.

what i'm trying to say is that, no matter if i click on the "remember me" or "click on here to be redirected" link, it thinks that i am not logged in unless i click on of the subforum topic like "Forum feedback", then i will see that i have been logged in.

but in my situation, i tried clicking on any link after being redirected, it shows that i have not logged in.

i don't need to click on "remember me" because i always erase my data and everything after using the browser.

I tried to experiment on both mac and xp.

the XP firefox webbrowser doesnt work neither does the IE (even with the latest updated version) SOMETIME it does. Most of the time, it does but once in a while, it doesn't work.

On a Mac, it works fine on safari most of time.

But in a sense, once you type in the screenname and password, it should show an homepage that you've been logged in, more like a welcome page.

jclarke seems to understand what i meant.

also, once you logged in waiting to be redirect, there should be a "proceed" button instead of the link.

I'm just saying, there might be a glitch that you want to look over.

Alex,

I will explain more clearly, pretend I am a member and I have decided to come in and log in myself to chill around the forum, I see the forum as a guest, but I type in my User name and my password and click "remember me" and click log in, the forum takes me to the "redirect page" which says if the page does not load there is a link below, which I don't use, becuase it regularly works fine. BUT when i finished logging myself in, and after the redirection page, it takes me back to the excat page and it looks like I am still a guest. That is the problem. I had to click "today's posts" and when that page appeared, my USER name is already there, so I was logged in. WHAT is wrong with that guest page when I was trying to log in? I have to click today's post everytime I log in.

I have this problem for a long time - about two years now.

I am member of several non-deaf related forums using vBulletin forums, I never have the problem like I have here. :dunno:

Not a big deal for me though it is somewhat annoying when I notice I not logged in when I am actually logged in.

FIX THE DAMN LOGIN PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa, Alex is busy and it does not have the time to repair this small problem, get used to it, mister!

I believe that the best way for you to do is to clear ALL cookies and caches. Then quit your browser. Then run it. Let's try it at this time.

I don't use the welcome page. I use it for a blank even I'm on the internet cable. If you want the welcome page as an alldeaf website. Then, you could do that as long as you clear the hungry cookies and beauty caches before you put it on the welcome address.
