I have SMC router and sometime problem with VP. Grrr. So I use d-link. Why it only have ONE DMZ?!??! I need more than one DMZ. One for VP, one for server and one for games. Grrr

yes i have some custom has SMC not working with VP!

If you ISP give more than 1 IP address, you can open up to 7 DMZ port to different computers to use. The router even support Application Level Gateway and special application function to ensure it flawlessly application compatibility. Depend model of router!!

hmm did u enable DMZ ? maybe you can add the nbr on client ip address for VP or others like 192.168.2.125(VP) and 192.168.2.135(game) etc. i think. i cant think right now bec i am at work. oopsie.

One gateway = one dmz!!! can t do multi dmz! BTW only one way can do 3X dmz w/same #client in vp,game,server only one each open power!! it will work only one~!

I know WRT54GS V4 (Router with SpeedBooter) won't work VP-100 for WRT54GS to HTPC in Bedroom. BEFSR81 (Router extra 8 port)
will work VP-100. I have BEFCMU100 (Cable Modem). all is nice view (BEFCMU100 on BEFCMU10 on WRT54GS)

BEFCMU10 TO WRT54GS TO VP-100 will not work

BEFCMU10 TO BEFSR81 TO VP-100 will work

But Both Router
BEFCMU10 -> BEFSR81 and WRT54GS

BEFSR81 -> vp-100 and PC#3

WRT54GS -> NAS, PC#1 and pC#2

they are perfect work!

hey, you must call CableTV Company first! becuase any cable-modem's MAC ID# and Serial # give to them, they will setup account becuase it is protect/security

if quit rent, and new box (don't open) bring to CableTV Company. say I don't want rent and my own, Custmer say okay, and setup account ISP then back home, open box, will work it
