Let the gaffes begin

Exactly. He apologized.
So every time a Democrat makes a gaffe we have to ignore it just because later they apologize?

If that were the same standard for Republican gaffes, I might consider it.

As much as I admire Nancy Reagan, I have to say, though..

What is the world is she doing consulting psychics for? That's where Obama's remark was derived from. If she wasn't engaging in such whacky behavior, he wouldn't have anything to remark about.
Was it necessary for him to mock a former First Lady?

BTW, he was not accurate anyway. Nancy Reagan consulted an astrologer for horoscope information; she did not participate in a seance seeking communication with dead spirits.

How does Palin "deserve" mockery and criticism now, after the election?

How does Obama "deserve" to be overlooked any criticism?

Why does Obama deserve to be mocked even after the election?

You tell me because there's no end in sight to this, especially on other sites.

So it's OK for the President-elect to mock a widowed former First Lady?

He apologized for it. Get over it!

No, it does not mean that it's ok. But, he apologized for doing so.

Now I don't feel so bad about hating Palin. :giggle:
I don't hate Obama, and this is no place for anyone to express hatred for any of the American candidates. If you do hate Palin, you should feel bad about it.

What I find interesting is all this over sensitivity about Obama. Don't you think a President-elect should be able to withstand scrutiny and exposure?

Who mocked him in this thread? How is posting a news item about Obama "mocking" him?

MODS:

Please remove the posts relating to "anencephaly".

I agree.

Unfortunately, there's a segment of our population that chooses bitterness over forgiveness and blatant lies over the truth.
My post was not a lie. It was public news.

Why is it "bitterness" when a conservative posts a liberal gaffe, but it's "deserved" and "hilarious" when a liberal posts a conservative gaffe?

Liebling and Brad,

I couldn't agree with both of you more.

As I've said before, it's a shame these people can't be happy for the progress we've made as a country by electing the first African-American President.

Instead, they have to constantly look for things to criticize Obama for and he isn't even in office yet.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
I didn't have to "look for" anything; it was all over the news.

It's a shame that the supporters of the new administration are so overly sensitive. It seems liberals can dish it out but they can't take it.

And who's the one complaining about the "cowardly" way she was treated by the media? You guessed it! A Republican!

He seems to be doing that well when he realized his error and apologized for it.

It doesn't seem to be enough for you though.

There wont stop people who bring rev wright up all times.. ;)

white american people are very careful and watch for Obama if he did any wrong. he will be trap within eneimes hands. like his VP JOE Biden told the world that there is still enemies test him to see how he doing if he mess up or doing any wrong..

I tell you big truth, Obama will make his HUGGGGGE MISTAKES again... like supreme court judge released the dangerous murder black man from prison and throw him on street. you would better watch him, he will kill someone or one of your relatives again.. or you truly trust the dangerous murder black man and you dont worry about him, he wont do it to somebody on street events?

You sound very racist. Shame on you. Tsk Tsk.

She posted here in AD? Where?

He certainly doesn't sound liberal to me. What, are you ashamed that XBGMER is a member of the GOP? :giggle:
I've never read any of XBGMER's posts that would fit the GOP position. He and I rarely agree about anything political.

But we shouldn't make any assumptions. Let XBGMER answer for himself.
