well now i got sort of a problem....my family doesn't want me to go. they're terrified that something might happen to me. **scratches head** i dont know what to do. i really....really...REALLY want to go. i understand why they're worried. i mean its a damn category 4 u know. ill think about it tonight. sleep on it.

lol yeah i guess it kinda is my hobby. i still have some thinking to do, i guess, i dont know what to do. i want this hurricane ride u know? but i love my family. and i dont want them to worry about me. i know my aunt patty would be terrified the entire time i was gone.

AJ, Go buy a camera and You can tie yourself up to a tree and take pictures??? that sounds corny.. hehe.. jk.. really, i would rather you stay where you are til the hurricane pass.. don't think.. don't do it!!! heh.. if you want to do it, be careful.. that's all i gotta say! Just let me know if you're going or not..

Golly AJ. You should recruit Nate, a friend who lives in town - he's a bohemian surfer nut and he's one cool dude. :) He just turned 30 though, ha..and a busy student these days.
 
ive got some bad news...

i dont think ill be surfing katrina. i want to surf her badly. fuck a category 5 hurricane??? but my family is really upset about it. and my brother and my uncle mike are PISSED about it. and also my ex gf, who im beginning to date again, is really uspet with me. and as much as i love surfing...i love my family even more, and i dont want them worrying about me like that. i mean they always worry when im surfing u know...but this is 175 mph winds, i dont want to put them through that. so....ill just have to watch surf videos that have 60 ft waves in them and just dream.

I know you're disappointed, but you've made a wise choice. Your life is worth more than a 30 second thrill. Police aren't letting people on the beaches, so, you'd probably be disappointed, anyway.

There will be other hurricanes.
 
I was going to say the same thing like OceanBreeze said. :) AJ, you made a good choice not to go. I understand you are disappointed, but your life is more important than to brave a huge storm just to get a thrill.

:wiggle: I know you're disappointed, but, you made the right decision. Your family love you too much to have something happen to you. We love you too here at AD, and I am truly happy that you have decided not to surf Katrina. She has become extremely dangerous, and while I was watching the news at 6:00PM, I saw the eye of Katrina, and it is really a big eye.
I am happy God watched over you to make the right decision, and you're very right when you say that you love your family more, it shows how much you respect them.
 
Whew! Sighing a great relief. As much as I know you'd love to surf Katrina, I was very afraid for you. Glad that your family and ur ex gf convinced you not to surf Katrina. I agree with you that your family is much more important and they worry so much over you. Big hugs!!!
