Large Hadron Collider - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The first proton beams had been circulated in the LHC.
I hope they find more about what we are made of.
See the pages about questions it could give some answers to. Is there a Higgs boson and a Higgs field that gives particles their masses? Are there supersymmetrical partners of known particles and is dark matter made of that stuff? Why is there more matter than antimatter? Are there extra dimensions?
The first collisions will happen when they cross the beams later.
