Do you have issue with kidney stone?

For me, yes, I don't know until found from CT scan on last Sunday at emergency room due terrible pain so I found because I was heavily consume on dairy food for many years, also not enough water and it was very unpleasant with nasty pain, I got strong painkiller meds and have wait until stone has pass out so it is hard to find if stone is too small. I will see doctor tomorrow about more information and will find out about how much stone left and I just want take all stone out due terrible pain. I'm ok right now but have experience uncomfortable in belly button in randon time and used to be pain when stone is passing.

Ouch! I am sorry that you might have kidney stone. You better drink plenty of water instead drink soda pop. I have no experience with kidney stone. My uncle got kidney stone because he don't drink enough water. He ate too much dairy and coffee. He said it's painful in back and belly. It feel like heart attack but it was kidney stone.

When I had the kidney stones I was told to drink a lot of water and cranberry juice. Because I get a lot of kidney stones and the doctor keeps and eye on my diet so that's not why, I keep cranberry juice in the house. I drink 1 glass a day, and my 64oz of water daily and still get kidney stones. No soda, no tea, very little coffee and no fruit juices except for the cranberry juice and V8 juice. The stones are painful little boogers.!!

Awww... I'm sorry to hear about your kidney stones. Hope you get that problem solve. ;)

Pinky is correct, the most common cause of kidney stones are from not drinking enough water, so try to drink about 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. ;)

That is exactly. I forget to mention about my good friend had kidney stone during pregnancy because she drank too much soda pop with sodium, dairy, and tea. She didn't drink enough water. Her doctor recommended her to drink plenty of water and cranberry juice. The problem is OJ have calicum inside. It's not good for kidney stone either.

Foxrac, You better reduce the sodium. Because my oldest friend had kidney transplant with two kidney because she ate and drank too much of sodium in soda pop. I hope not going be happen to you.

Drinking lots of liquids may PREVENT kidney stones.

Trust me, they've studied on calcium and kidney stone and they've come up with no conclusions - in fact, the more you eat calcium, the less likely you'll have kidney stones. There are many other processes involved in causing stones to be formed, notably oxalates which are very potent, more so than calcium. Too much protien can cause stones too.

Glad you got some kidney stones.

I still get them frequently. My largest was 7mm.

The best cure for me is drinkin a LOT of water. And when you consume excessive protein - A LOT MORE water. like 3 gallons a day.

You kidding me, three gallons? Over the shoulder or what? :D

Yup, ER doctor suggested me to drink alot of water and had discomfort with left back and I hopefully there would not any more kidney stone to come out, just wait and see with doctor today.

I'm not surprised about young people could get kidney stone, however I thought it is common on older people.

Yup, high sodium intake has cause any risk with kidney stone.

I know that canned soup, frozen food, vegetable juice, fast food and some processed food has high sodium, better to meet or less than daily value.

Same with protein too.

Some of my friend that I know does drink alot of soda for many years and has little or no effect on kidney, cola and tea are more risky.

When I had the stones, man.. felt like I was giving birth!

The pain was bad to the point I gagged and heaved.

The doctors had me do a food diary and turned out the culprit was dairy products and pop. Drinking lots of water will reduce the possibility of kidney stones but once you have had kidney stones, you will have them. You just need to control the severity of having kidney stones.

Been there, done that.

Cranberry juice or water is the best cure for kidney stones.

A good tip for those who do not want to gain weight from drinking cranberry juice as it is prone to do so.

Cranberry vitamin is excellent to take as it will not cause weight gain.

Kidney stones are very painful I know. They will try to make the stone as small as they can but ultimately you still have to pass it through your system and that is where the pain comes.

You're not only one younger to get Kidney stone. My friend got it during pregnancy when she was 21 years old.

True. I still have a few in my kidneys I can feel as I post.

When people get hurt - I just smile...

I went to see urologist today and had took x-ray, there's good and bad side, for good side, there's no stone in my kidney and for bad side, 1 stone is still in ureter but closer to bladder so told me to drink alot of water or lemonade but no cranberry for now until stone has pass out. I'm still have discomfort on left back side and belly button in random time and believe it was stone that still in ureter.

I got urine strain today to collect the stone.

Oh interesting, I went to ER because I don't know about how severe pain is bad, it could be serious condition so decided to see ER to get exam and found stone that's goes in ureter so now, I know about how pain looks like that.

I don't know that pain from kidney stone is just like give a birth since I'm not woman but very interesting to compare with pain.
