No idea. Would not change my mind. The difference here is that I am not trying to find every negative in a situation. Even if Obama awarded them, the crew may have changed personnel, etc. I choose not to look for the half empty here. Again, I am not backing Obama, Dems, or anyone else. I just don't see the connection between Obama and all that is wrong in the world, and when something good happens, it was luck, Republicans saved the day, or any other scenario you wish to believe. Both sides have good and bad points and members. You just choose to put the blinders on some things, and exalt in others.

No clue. I am not following him as closely as his foes are.

I have said that he needed a chance. I was not bashing him before his Inauguration speech. I waited. He has not made the job market a lot better yet. I did not care for his Supreme Court choice. There are other things that have not gone well.

As for fingerpointing, isn't that what politicians do? Bush certainly did his share of blaming others. You can choose selective memory. Nope, not gonna supply links and graphs. Call it a hunch.

Oh, righhttt. And they planned for the murders of 11 oil riggers, too? So far as for available reports are concerned yet to be released, this was believed to be an uncontrolled surge of methane gas released within the well from the ocean floor.

Maybe Rush Limbaugh was doing some deep sea exploring, and had a bit of gas buildup from eating too many nachos. :giggle:

since when the President monitors the company's purchase? Aren't companies free to purchase whatever they want?

The oil rig was completed in 2001.... and acquired by Transocean in 2001... and leased by BP until 2013... that was under Bush Administration. and I'm not even looking at Administration on this. I'm looking at Minerals Management Service (which is going to be split in 2 agencies by Interior Secretary - one for collecting oil royalties and other for policing energy companies)
