Radio Host Says Judgment Day Coming May 21

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Email campaigns and billboards are sending a controversial message across Jacksonville. The controversy is over Judgment Day, a day that many believe is coming May 21.

Harold Camping founded Family Radio, which airs in Jacksonville on 88.7 FM between 8:30 and 10 p.m. Camping said people can't argue the date of Judgment Day. He said it's happening 6 p.m. on May 21.

"Well, excuse me, if you reject May 21st, you are not fearing God. Because God has said all that info; come from the Bible," Camping said.

While many of the people who called into Camping's open forum Thursday agreed with his views of Judgment Day, Channel 4 couldn't find anyone overly worried about what could happen May 21.

"Do you think we'll be here May 22?" asked Channel 4's Kent Justice.

"Yes, yes I do. I don't know the day, but I don't think they can predict the day," said a Jacksonville woman.

The Bible addresses the issue. Matthew 24:36 reads, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

Wirelessly posted (sent from a smartphone. )

I dont believe it will happen. I saw that ad on thr electronic bullitien board here.

Hope not, already bought my plane tickets for November. Oh, wait, guess I won't need the tickets or the $$ after May 21st. :hmm:

Believe we've been "warned"..."reminded"...."poked"...and even "preached" to about stuff similar to this......I even grew up with such stuff as this...and I'm still here.

If judgement day is this month, then I guess the Maya's were wrong? :D I know people who are waiting for 12/21/12 (that's the date, isn't it?).

No one can predict the date.

Nope, there's no such thing as a "judgement day", just a relic of fearmongering.

We all could die tomorrow and never know. I mean, seriously, the universe is teeming with a lot of explosions. It's possible that there will be a major explosion near the earth and wipe us out.

I've been seeing billboards for the so-called Judgment Day and it's said to be May 21st. I guess I wasn't seeing things after all.

I haven't seen any lately but then I haven't done much driving since I left the hosipital and rehab a week ago. I'm sure they're all over the place.

Well I don't believe it. Neither does anyone in my church. We are still planning things beyond May 21st.

Bible said no one knows when it's time. Therefore, these people can be wrong.

I've seen these folks in sandwich boards near the bus stops around my city on my way home. I'm hoping that they're out in full force the Friday after next. I'd actually be quite curious to speak with someone who is planning on being murdered the very next day. Hopefully they're only planning on letting their God do the rapture/killing/whatever, and not taking things into their own hands.

:hmm: There have been cult people (like Heaven's Gate) who did that; that's a problem.

Judgement's day won't be happen because rapture did not happen, yet. Judgement's day will appear after seven years after rapture. 3 1/2 years of peace then 3 1/2 yers of awful things happen.
