Can someone tell me if Jon and Kate Plus Eight is captioned on TLC during their reruns? I have a friend who is HoH and would like to be able to enjoy the show with her when she visits me.

It should be...

I hope so, but I thought I read another thread which said it isn't captioned. I don't know how to turn the captioning on my TV either, so I'll need someone to read the manual.

I have watched the show but I am not sure if those were reruns or the orginal episodes. The caption has always been there so I think the reruns should be captioned.

LakeTahoe,

I remember you saying that you watched the show and I know you are Deaf, but I wasn't certain, so I'm glad you told me. :ty: again.

When I'm able to have someone enable the captions on my TV, I'll see if they appear on the episodes that are rerun during the afternoon.

What's Next for the Gosselin Children?
What's Next for the Gosselin Children? - Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin : People.com

Ten months ago, Jon and Kate Gosselin's eight children served as bridesmaids and groomsmen during an emotional ceremony in which their parents renewed their wedding vows.

Now the Gosselin twins, Cara and Mady, 8, and sextuplets, Aaden, Collin, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah, 5, face a very different moment in their family life: After months of marital discord, Kate and Jon filed for divorce Monday in Montgomery County, Pa.

How will the Gosselin children cope?

"Depression and anxiety are common problems for children of divorced parents," says Dr. Michelle Golland, a relationship expert based in Hollywood. Golland, who has written about the Gosselin family on momlogic.com, says children often exhibit regressive behavior as a result of parents' divorcing.

"They're coping with a lot of feelings that they don't know how to identify," Dr. Golland explains. "They act out, they in-fight with other kids. Depending on a child's behavior, they could start to have nightmares, have trouble sleeping or going to sleep. You may start to see kids wet their bed."

Open Dialogue
Experts agree that to help their children cope with their feelings, the Gosselins should maintain an open dialogue with the children – and put the children's needs first.

"They can try to reserve their major disagreements to times when the kids aren't around," says Dr. Lawrence Belter, a NYU psychologist and parenting expert. "And don't be critical of them if they're angry with you. Kids should be angry with their parents if they're creating a lot of problems for them."

The children can also provide a support system – in this case, a rather large one – for each other, according Dr. Thomas Parisi, a marriage and family therapist in Beverly Hills. "Kids of their age talk about things. 'Is it my fault? What did I do wrong,' " says Dr. Parisi. "If they have their siblings around, they can relate. It's a real boon on their side."

The specifics of the custody arrangement between the couple are yet to be determined. Raising such a large brood as a single parent would provide challenges to adult and child alike. But with good parenting, Dr. Belter says, the Gosselin kids can learn to cope with the changes in their family in due time.

"Kids are resilient," says Dr. Belter. "They can get past [divorce,], but not without some hurtful periods."

In a statement, the network that carries Jon & Kate Plus 8 said, "TLC continues to support the Gosselin family and will work closely with them to determine the best way to continue to tell their story as they navigate through this difficult time."

Gosselin Divorce Papers Filed
Gosselin Divorce Papers Filed - Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin : People.com

After months of speculation, the 10-year marriage of Jon & Kate Plus Eight's stars Kate and Jon Gosselin appears to be coming to an end, a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE.

Documents to initiate a legal split were filed in Pennsylvania Monday afternoon.

Fans who have watched the couple's popular TLC show – or read the voluminous coverage of the Gosselin marriage in the press – will hardly be surprised: The duo had long maintained a tense relationship, with Jon recently telling PEOPLE he wanted a less high-profile life, while Kate appeared to remain committed to their TV career.

In February, photos surfaced of Jon in the company of young women during a solo visit to see his mother, who was recuperating from surgery, in Huntingdon, Pa. The couple quickly attempted to quash rumors of problems. But in May, the scandal erupted again when 23-year-old Deanna Hummel was photographed driving Jon's car home from a bar late at night.

When the fifth season of the Gosselins' show premiered May 25, the couple admitted to having problems and not knowing where their relationship was headed. "Parents of multiples have triple the divorce rate," Kate said through tears. "I was thinking we were going to beat that. I don't know if I can say that anymore."

TLC promotions of the show are promising a major announcement about the family in Monday night's episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight.

but Kate and Jon will share custody of eight kids till reach 18 years old but im not sure how worth money would be?!?

Kate Gosselin on Divorce: 'Jon Left Me No Choice'
Kate Gosselin on Divorce: 'Jon Left Me No Choice' - TV News, Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin : People.com

The wait is over – and so is the marriage.

With an hour-long special broadcast Monday night, Jon and Kate Gosselin, parents of eight young children and stars of the TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus Eight, publicly announced that they will separate on the same day they filed for divorce in a Pennsylvania court.

"Over the course of this weekend, Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children," Kate said in a statement Monday night. "While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children."

Jon released a statement of his own, claiming his wife was the first to make a legal move. "This afternoon, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my number one priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe. My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesn’t change that."

Difficult Transition
"This will be a difficult transition for all of us," Jon's statement continued, "but Kate and I will work out a schedule that enables our kids to have plenty of quality time with both of us at home in Pennsylvania. In terms of my marriage, it’s no secret that the past six months or so have been very difficult for Kate and me. We are no different than other couples and parents who are facing a crossroads in their marriage. I am of course deeply saddened that we are divorcing."

And, this may finally be one part of their life that remains private: The divorce papers – filed individually in Montgomery County, Pa., Monday – are sealed, PEOPLE has learned.

The reality TV couple is not getting special consideration since it varies from county to county in Pennsylvania whether divorce records are public, and Montgomery County is one that keeps them sealed to everyone except the parties themselves and their attorneys, a clerk tells PEOPLE. The only thing available for public consumption is the name of each party, the type of complaint they filed (divorce, in this case) and the date they filed.

For fans who followed the couple's travails on screen and off, it was a busy day. PEOPLE.com first reported Monday that the couple's marriage had officially entered the endgame, after papers were filed that afternoon to initiate a divorce. Then, on that evening's broadcast, the couple announced they would separate.

"Yes, Kate and I have decided to separate," Jon said at the end of an episode that initially focused on building toy houses for the their kids. "I'm not very fond of the idea, personally, but I know it's necessary," Kate added. "My goal is peace for the kids."

The couple said they would keep the Pennsylvania house they share with their kids – twins Cara and Mady and sextuplets Colin, Hannah, Leah, Joel, Aaden and Alexis – and take turns living there, and take any other measures necessary to minimize the disruption in their children's lives.

Kate Gosselin: 'It Feels Like I Failed'
Kate Gosselin: 'It Feels Like I Failed' - Couples, Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin : People.com

There's a lot of shouting happening in Kate Gosselin's house. The mother of eight children – twins Mady and Cara, 8, and sextuplets Alexis, Collin, Leah, Hannah, Aaden and Joel, 5 – has barely had time to change out of her morning workout clothes before her brood descends upon her, clinging to her legs and loudly wondering what to do given the rainy weather.

"Let's do a project," yells Kate, 34, above the clamor. The eight children race to the kitchen table and promptly pull out their construction paper and crayons to make Father’s Day cards for their conspicuously absent dad, who'll receive them two days later.

"Will you help me draw a heart?" asks a giggling Collin. "I want lots of hearts."

Lately, the family has seen lots of heartbreak, culminating with the news that Kate and Jon, 32, stars of the reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8, have decided to end their marriage.

"On a good day, I feel relief," Kate says, curled up in a chair in her living room. "On a bad day, I feel failure."

Jon 'hurt' by Kate's remarks as she cites his weekend 'activities'
Jon 'hurt' by Kate's remarks as she cites his weekend 'activities' - CNN.com

Jon and Kate Gosselin both said they want their divorce to be "resolved amicably," but an unexplained Father's Day weekend dispute lurks within written statements released by each of them this week.

"Jon's activities" over the weekend "left me no choice" but to file for divorce Monday, Kate Gosselin said.

Jon Gosselin said he was "hurt" by her words, but his weekend alone with their eight kids was great.

Divorce documents filed Monday by Kate's lawyer contend their 10-year marriage is "irretrievably broken," but it saves any specifics for later.

While a Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, judge sealed the Gosselin divorce file, CNN has obtained a copy of Kate's petition for a "no-fault divorce."

The couple announced their separation and divorce filing on a special one-hour episode of their TLC reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8."

Their additional statements indicated that something happened this past week that was not seen on the TV show.

"Over the course of this weekend, Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children," Kate Gosselin said. "While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself."

Jon, in response, said he "was hurt by the statement Kate made last night about the divorce."

He, too, hinted that something happened while he spent the Father's Day weekend with his eight children -- minus Kate.

"I have always done everything I can to protect our family," he said. "This weekend, I was home with the kids for four days, just being a dad. No nannies, just the kids and me. In fact, with the exception of Aaden's visit to the doctor, I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend Father's Day weekend."

Aaden Gosselin, one of the couple's 5-year-old sextuplets, was seen in his father's arms with a small bandage on his forehead on Saturday.

It may be another six weeks before TV viewers learn the details, since TLC said it has placed the show on hiatus until August 3 to give the Gosselin family "some time off to regroup."

The cable network said it would "work closely with them to determine the best way to continue to tell their story as they navigate through this difficult time."

The eight children -- sextuplets and twins -- will continue living in their Wernersville, Pennsylvania, home, the couple said. Each parent will stay there during their time with them.

It's all about Kate. I'm beginning to think she's narcissistic.

There are several personality disorders who's criterior are tailor made to fit Kate, but yes, it's all about Kate. Sad.

Borderline
Obsessive Compulsive
Narcissitic

all come to mind.
