Is President Obama too "cool?"

Funny, I have based most all of my debate on fact. Can you say the same?

I can take the heat. I wouldn't have survived law school if I couldn't.

I am still bitter about New Orleans. We got the evacuees and most of them didn't go home because there was nothing to go home to. I meet these people all of the time. Some people lost everything. It's not comparable to the shooting. My point was that Bush was not there. Flying over New Orleans for a photo op does not count.

Obviously, you have a distorted idea of what "fact" is.:cool2: You seem to be confusing it with opinion.

You act as though President Bush sent Katrina there. He had no more control of the weather than Obama had over Hassan. However, Bush did not go on national television hours after Katrina and give "shout outs" to his buddies.

See, Beowulf, I get exhausted debating with those who would rather attack the individual rather than the topic. But, ocassionally I come back for more punishment from this forum.

Intelligent debate is much less exhausting. So stop attacking and engage in some intelligent debate. You will be much less exhausted.:cool2:

Are you referring to that 30 watt known as Sarah Palin?

Again, personal attacks. And you call this "debate"?

Arent you doing the same? You just complained about people attacking you but you just attacked Sallylou there. She didnt act as Bush sent Katrina to destroy New Orleans. She wasnt pleased with his policies and actions during the aftermath.

Again, personal attacks. And you call this "debate"?

 Attacking Palin is now considered a personal attack on you?

Can you spell "hypocrit"?

And no, I don't call this debate. I call this being engaged in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

That was far from an attack on sallylou personally. That was a remark on her statement. Big difference.

Yes, but obviously you can't, so I will be happy to again post a quote from the dictionary for your personal edification:
hyp⋅o⋅crite  /ˈhɪpəkrɪt/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [hip-uh-krit] Show IPA
Use hypocrite in a Sentence
See web results for hypocrite

–noun 1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.
And obviously you must be referring to yourself as the "unarmed" entity.

You said "You acted as..." maybe next time say "Your statement seems like..."

You have just made it abundantly clear who is unarmed.

Now, sweetie, go back to the topic and offer some support for your claims, if you can.

I believe I did that back on page one. You could always google Obama's speech for yourself.

I am so glad you do, Eva. But I am not afraid of this "shift." I know the people of South America still cross themselves and mutter diablo when they hear the name Bush.
