Every year, we have elections to either keep or to welcome new candidates into our government. Seeing that there are so many threads created here in order to run for moderating position, I believe that it may be a high time for a new moderation election. If I remember right, there used to be about 6 or 7 moderators, but right now it is down to two. I think it would be fair to give some members chances to prove themselves.
I still stick to my statement that I believe that we should create a job description, a list of criteria and also a code of ethic for all mods to abide by. Then we can let the candidates give their platforms why they would be good moderators. If the mods and the admin approves, then by a deadline, all the approved candidates could do a debate for a week, then we can elect for like two or three days.
What do you think would make a good moderator? What do you think it takes to be a mod?
Also, if any one of you would like to be a moderator, I think you should let yourself be known. The more to choose from, the better!

Well said! Your idea would be great. I am sure many of us have someone in mind as a new moderator, but it would be nice to know more about each person!
