Yestersday, while driving through Coloma, MI, I saw a 1979 Wagoneer parked outside a restaurant. If you know old Jeeps or classsics, you would know what this looks like.

I wanted to go inside and ask who owned it and whether it was for sale. I saw that it had current registration and figured that it was probably being used on road.

Plus, I figured that if it was for sale, then there would be a "For sale" sign on it.

You never know. If you make a good enough offer, the owner might take it. :)
 
If you like that kind of vehicle, the Jeep Cherokee was the next generation of the Wagoneer. I've had two of them (Cherokees), and can vouch that they are good, basic transportation and workhorses.

This one is quadra trac so I know that it is a 1979 model. My Grandpa had a brown 1979 Cherokee almost like this one. I had few of those my self. I wish I would get back into Jeep game. I may do one day, but I have a girlfriend who wants to settle down with me.

Did you have the 1974-1983 Cherokee/Wagoneers or the XJ Cherokees?
 
Rusted body eek.... but the interiors looks classic and simple. Few interior problem like broken door handle or loose steering wheel (common in tilted column with shifter). Is the motor 258 CID 6 in-line or 360 CID V8? I believe both motors use carburetors.

I am pretty sure this one is a 360. Pretty sure that it is not for sale. Even if it was for sale, I am broke. Yes, both uses carburetor. They're easy to work on but a pain in the butt. Those rigs have what is called "wag sag". They would need headliner.
