IRS agents visit small business and demand 4 cents that was owed

Yes, I did. So? You grasping what I am saying? When I received audit from IRS, it only cared whole dollars. It never stated cents otherwise it would say $494,817.xx .

And the article stated that the IRS cared about the cents. That makes no sense since you CANNOT round to the cents. I do NOT recall ever filing a tax return with cents in it (been a long time... maybe oldies here remember cents).

Get it?

I got it. You also proved to me you did NOT read the article.

tpical hyperbolic garbage...first you create the post in a hyperbolic format to draw attention in your negative spin manner...speaking of 4 cents as though it is ridiculous (and try blame on present president?) IRS is a continuing enterprise.....
but then as story evolves you admit it was s212 dollars...not so dramatic now eh?....your typical hyperbolic spin effort....lies.....no integrity.
so which is it? 4 cents or 212?...ok then .....say that when you start your story bald face liar....you think we have no brains? are we mind control guinia pigs for you?
more insulting of deafies intelligence.
4 cents or 212 dollars? quite the difference....speak with integrity or shut the fuck up.

Neither amount is worthy of am IRS visit. Also, all but .04 0f the $212 is penalties and interest on .04 according to the article. That makes the IRS look worse.

Maybe they didn't round it off properly and just using the "IRS are going after me over 4 cents" excuse to make them look like monsters.

like it is 211.96 and it should be 212.00 instead of 211.00

They would not do the rounding in this scenario.

ah oh well, I don't know anything about taxes. I just hire an accounting and he does the rest.

That's fine but the statement and response in post # 87 have nothing to do with someone filing your taxes. It is only there, in the filing of your taxes, where rounding occurs.

Let me ask ya'll here. When it comes to interest owed, say, on your credit card, would you like to see the rounding of the numbers go upward, increasing the amount owed and not to the exact interest percentage which would be lower and correct?

That has virtually nothing to do with this case.
