"Give me some time, I think I got a few pennies in my vacuum cleaner."

I figured you would bake them a cake and take them to dinner. You love taxes.

The Austin plane crash into IRS building - he mentioned in his suicide note targeting Bush, IRS, and Catholic Church. So by your logic - that tragedy was Secretary of Treasury's and Bush's fault that this happened?

One problem though, Stack didn't work for the IRS. We're talking about two IRS agents on orders to go and collect the 4 cents due to the IRS.

i laughed at one of comments:

"So the IRS sent two agents? Why? Oh I know - so each could get in their two cents worth. Two funny. :) "

:laugh2: I knew there had to be a joke in there somewhere!

hahahaha you think a president is going to take the time to order 4 centeenshakedown....noones that stupid to be seen spending the time over it. ridiculous.
IRS is under Obama?????? so anything they do falls on him? what if they collect all this money you been whining about? then you gonna credit Palin or what?
silly stuff...ridiculous.....glad I don't make a habit of reading this bunk anymore....yes BUNK..
grasping at straws...smh...lol

When I owned my Business I felt anything done by one of my employees, even the the day laborer we might hire, reflected upon me and my company. No, Obama didn't order the agents to do this. But, how Obama handles this situation now gives insight to his character as President. He must make sure people below him are qualified to make reasonable decisions

It's not grasping at straws when it doesn't make sense for the IRS to go after money owed to them when it takes even more money just to collect it. It's like you spending $100 worth of gas to drive across the states to try and collect .10 cents from somebody owed to you. It's just financially dumb.

uh..... we already know Stack didn't work for IRS. Stack is victim of everything. He targeted IRS, Catholic Church, and Bush for his demise. Like I said - by your logic - this tragedy was Secretary of Treasury's and Bush's fault that this happened?

You figured wrong. If I file on my own, I am ALWAYS right when it comes to accounting. :)

I got the IRS audit once demanding that I give them $494,817 to be exact!

Thankfully, my simple yet humorous letter solved the problem and IRS sent me a letter thanking me.

By the way, why did it NOT say cents? The letter only said in whole dollars. That's why I am puzzled with the story. How can IRS come after you if they don't take cents into account?

A non sequitur.

read the article.

Yes, I did. So? You grasping what I am saying? When I received audit from IRS, it only cared whole dollars. It never stated cents otherwise it would say $494,817.xx .

And the article stated that the IRS cared about the cents. That makes no sense since you CANNOT round to the cents. I do NOT recall ever filing a tax return with cents in it (been a long time... maybe oldies here remember cents).

Get it?

I'm volunteering to do taxes at my local Deaf Center. I use the IRS software which rounds to the nearest dollar automatically. No one uses cents.

As I said before I think he misread the letter and the cents is part of the interest. Cents could also result if he paid an with cents as one of his estimate payments. That would then cause the IRS figure to have cents.

:giggle:This whole article doesn't make much "cents!"

I think it's 4 cents plus $202.31 in interest and penalties. Still, what a wasteful trip for the two IRS agents.

Agreed......I was just stating how cents on an IRS bill might occur

Only will we know if IRS has to say. I doubt it will happen. IRS is NOT allowed to make a comment regarding that due to confidential laws.
