were those 2 IRS agents under order by Obama to collect 4 cents?

You didn't answer his question - did Obama directly order IRS to go after a guy who owes 4 cents?

If a walmart worker haggles a shopper, does that mean that the CEO of walmart ordered the worker to do that?

No, like I said, again, it is the secretary of Treasury who that has full authority to administer and enforce the internal revenue laws and has the power to create an agency to enforce these laws. However, it is still a fact that the Dept of Treasury (IRS) is currently under the Obama administration and I'm sure once this story trickles up he'll hear about it. And decide on what to do next (if the story turns out to be true) just to save himself the embarassment.

The secretary of Treasury is their boss. So, who knows. But I'm sure he/she will be hearing more about this story in the coming days.

Cases as such been heard of under other administrations.

Seek and you will find.

The IRS is to collect. Regardless of administration.

That is their job.

Four cents?? Doubt it...

The amount is rounded off to the nearest dollar. Not by cents. Any intelligent person would seek the ones that owes more than four cents.

What gives?

Secretary of Treasury oversees over IRS Department in 50 states that employ over 100,000 employees. Do you mean to tell me that you think Secretary of Treasury ordered those 2 agents to collect 4 cents?

perhaps you should let TXGolfer do the talking. I knew it was something to do with some beef between the owner of the business and somebody at IRS department in that area.

Regardless, it ends with the boss/supervisor. Like I said, this story, if true, will certainly find its way up. If you're at the top of the ladder it is the duty of that person to ensure that an organization runs smoothly.

Yeah... Looks like it, because in the report I read he has had issues with the IRS.

And note to everyone - While it's correct that on tax returns they round to the nearest dollar, the 4 cents came from fees on penalties sooo...

The Austin plane crash into IRS building - he mentioned in his suicide note targeting Bush, IRS, and Catholic Church. So by your logic - that tragedy was Secretary of Treasury's and Bush's fault that this happened?

Getting a good laugh out of this!

Umm.

How can I put it.

Oh! I know!

Fools gold!

*checks pocket and sees a quarter*

"Here you go, son - there's qaurter to cover enough of this tax owing - Have a nice day"

*walks away*

:laugh2:

i laughed at one of comments:

"So the IRS sent two agents? Why? Oh I know - so each could get in their two cents worth. Two funny. :) "

Maybe they wanted lucky pennies?

Oh, you think that if the Drudge Report says it, it must be true? You just crack me up.

Huffington Post noted that as well. But of course since it's a liberal rag, you don't believe what Huffpo has to say. LOL!

Drudge report usually get their source from other newspaper.

Wow...4 cents. Uh ok..

If the tax collectors showed up at my door for four cents. I would gladly guide them to my "Take a penny, give a penny dish"

If they showed at my door I would...:fart: "oh sorry about that" *toss quarter* "keep the change"

"Give me some time, I think I got a few pennies in my vacuum cleaner."
