Hello everyone,
My name is Alicen and I'm half hearing half deaf. I guess I have each foot on either side of the door as it would be.. I have started learning asl as a comunication tool and I'm finding it a difficult language to master without assistance from others who speak asl.
I do not have many HOH/Deaf friends and I'm looking to make friends in Rockland county NY.
Any comments are welcome.

Welcome to AD. Umm half hearing and half deaf? I am at loss here, my cousin is deaf in one ear and hearing in other ear so are u hoh or just alike my cousin?
 
Hi, I am DeAnne. I am also stuck between the worlds. Hearing and the deaf world. I am from Oklahoma, pretty far from where you are but I can guarantee you will find friends here and a great deal of support from the deaf, the hearing, and the hard of hearing. I know I have. Welcome.

I put one foot in hot water and the other in cold, and can declare to feel average.

Not Kidding.

I really am half deaf. I cant say wholly deaf cause I still have residual hearing in the low end. I can make out voices, but not understand them. My high end is g-g-g-gone.
Cochlear implants are my next step if the new hearing aids cant help. Or ASL!
