Ignore List

I don't need to hear often his many negative attitude , he control seems behavior attiude ironic, that is point! that is exactly we told stop it, he stubborn! once time chance period!

Mizwytch, the funny thing is that for some reason people like to make an announcement to everybody that they have such and such on ignore and proceed to use this -> :giggle: <- not only once but every so often in other threads as if its supposed to mean something. Seems like they're expecting some kind of validation in return for repeating it so much. :dunno:

If people want to put others on ignore, great. More power to them but I certainly question people on their need to remind others on who they have on ignore constantly. What do they want? A standing ovation?

BTW, not responding is not the same as having someone on the ignore list. I thought I'd just toss that one out for all to see.
sounds like you're proud of having people putting you on their ignore list. Please pat yourself on your back for me because I don't want to touch you. cootie.

Let me get this straight: if everyone were on ignore lists and only one person responds, it would be Alex asking what the heck is wrong with everyone?

But if Alex asks where in the void of ignore, would anyone see him post? :hmm:

Wish I had your ability to just skip over offending posters' posts but nope. I put them on ignore. Some people are better able at not letting stupid rude people get to them so much. I'm admittedly not one of them.

I don't often use the ignore button but I will use it for cases like these.

No one is on my "ignore" list...and for the first time, someone said I was on "their ignore list"....*snif,snif*....but that person just responded to a post I made earlier....another whackadoodle, I guess.

you didn't have to say "person" cuz we know who :giggle:

keep the crude jokes coming in! conventional jokes are just not funny anymore :cool2:

Wow...you? I've never seen you be rude or obnoxious to anyone. I can't say the same for others...but it takes all sorts I guess. :hmm:

Oh, and since I've no idea who Alex is, (other than the Admin), and have never talked to him that I am aware of; I assume he can pretty well do as he pleases since this is his site. LOL

that is strict is serious that is not joke! strictly is very not funny! that is proper powerful strict!

I've never used the ignore button (granted I haven't been on here long) there are some posts I'd rather not read, so I don't. But really for the most part, everyone has been wonderful... for people I that i constantly see making rude remarks or such, I just stop reading their posts... I guess it is a good thing to know it exists, just in case.

I grew up in a big family. At one point or another, guaranteed, between all of us kids, somebody would be annoyed with someone else for a while, for reasons good or bad. We all got lessons in how to ignore annoying people at an early age. And eventually realized that once in a while, even annoying people might have something worthwhile to say.

That's how I treat forums. If I think someone is just parading their ignorance, I can ignore it. If I just don't happen to have a response for something, I don't respond. If I've exceeded my own self-imposed maximum for how much I feel like explaining my point of view, and someone else keeps harping on it, I can ignore it.

One of life's wonderful rules: "You do not have to attend every argument to which you are invited."

I guess they expect that by announcing who is on ignore thinking it'll somehow hurt their feelings.

Exactly what is the value of making that announcement anyways?

I put someone on my ignore list because he was so determined to find fault in what anyone had to say that it was ridiculous. He would even contradict himself if a Deaf person agreed with him just to be deliberately disagreeable. I can't deal with people like that. I have no problems with differing views but I have a problem with lousy attitudes that prevent people from listening and considering what others have to say because their need to be "right" overrides everything else.

I beg to differ. Just kidding, I agree with you completely.

Amen.

Because mentally, they never finished junior high and they want to make sure everyone knows exactly what clique is "in" and what is "out."
