Ice volcanos

I found some more pictures of the spray: http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/multimedia/images/image-details.cfm?imageID=1875

The caption for the image in my first post said that the view was towards the part with the tiger stripes. These are visible in this picture in the southern hemisphere. So the sprays came from somewhere around there.
There are also smooth areas in that hemisphere. Before, they found an atmosphere of ionized water vapor over the south polar region. Enceladus' gravity can't hold on it for long, so it's getting refreshed. It looks like cryovolcanism is spraying out that stuff and water vapor and smoothing out those areas.

OMG! Visitors will freeze to death instead of burning to death! ;)
