what does NTID and FAT mean?

NTID = National Technical Institute for the Deaf

FAT = File Allocation Table (it is a microsoft partiiton format)

nooo, I mean, what does NTFS mean?

Both FAT and NTFS are Windows Partitions.

If you want to know details about both of them...try using google.com. :)

Windows Partitions is splitting up your hard-drive into 2 different places...

Normally there's always C:

You can now add D: all the way to Z: using Partitions...

It's cool and it's mostly in Windows XP

All Windows OSes support partitions....Not sure about under Windows 3.1. :p

Heya there!

DOS/Win3.1/Win95a FAT
Win95b thru c/Win98 thru se FAT32
WinNT/XP/W2K NTFS -More secure system than FAT system.

Currently I am running windows 2000. I use NTFS because I like to secure some of my systems against other people from snooping around my things. :D
