I have a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble book store and a $10 gift card for Starbucks. I'm under the impression that I can use the Barnes and Noble gift card at the Starbucks store that is inside Barnes and Nobles book store. Therefore, I don't have to use it on books. I would use it on food and beverages at Starbucks in the store. I would suppose that I've a $35 gift card to Starbucks if you want to put it that way.

duuuuude get some books not overpriced schwag ;)

Thank you, I'll try Starbucks.

As for books, I may look into magazines. I'm just not sure if I want to spend $15 on a brand new book when I would get it at Goodwill for $2. Maybe if it's a really, really educational book then I would buy it.

Why don't you buy a bunch of books, then return them a few days later saying that you already got them for Christmas... then ask for a cash refund? ;)

Barnes & Noble isn't just about books. They also sell games (board games, card games, etc) and jigsaw puzzles. You can even buy music CDs too! :)

If you want to save money, check the clearance section! :)

Someone on Facebook posted a comment talking about music and coffee.

At Starbucks, it is $5 for coffee that costs 25 cents and a few minutes to make... and takes a few minutes to enjoy... once.

On iTunes, it is $1 for a song that costs hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars and hundreds of hours to prepare... and takes a few minutes to enjoy... for a lifetime.

What's wrong here? ;)

Yeah, I'd rather spend money on a book from the clearance section. There are even games or jigsaw puzzles that you can spend the money on! :)

Muffins and cookies are cheaper than the coffee. I'll rather have them over coffee.

I may look at puzzles and games, but I don't usually do either. I would definitely take a look at clearance section.

Interesting idea, but I don't think they'll let me return book for cash after using giftcard to get them.

If it was to cost $500 to prepare and 1500 copies were sold, then there will be a $1000 profit, eh?

Well if you don't like books...I guess there it is.

Me I love love love reading, I would get a lot more, and a lot longer enjoyment out of an $8 paperpack than a $5 coffee, and I like the coffee I brew better anyway ;) but hey that's just me :D

They won't give a cash refund for something bought with a gift card. You'll just get a new card.
