Yeah I remember the Valdez oil spill from years ago on t.v. I thought that Slick Willie ( Bill Clinton ) had locked up Alaskan oil for good and President Bush had been fighting to open the oil fields in Alaska so that we would be less dependent on Arab oil.

I thought every three months, what happened?

Well, they received a large lump in every October -- not every 3 months.

Heath,

You wanna to know about oil allotment -- you have to LIVE in Alaska for over one year to become a resident before you could apply for one. You can't receive it if, you are not resident in Alaska.

Oil allotment is not for the lower 48 states, except Alaska only.

Gas prices are much cheaper during Bill Clinton term and it got worse after 9/11.

There's a offshore range in Alaska that we are currently drilling. The area that your beloved GOP folks are fighting to drill on is ANWR (Alaska National Wildlife Refugee). I can see that you were blind supporting Bush to get oil drilling in Alaska while not knowing we already are drilling up there.

I hope you did google for oil drilling in alaska.

anyway see this: http://www.anwr.org/backgrnd/where.htm
you will see that the area outside anwr are used for oil drilling that's where the oil pipeline originated.

You confused with the Arctic oil drill and Alaska oil drills. Alaska Oil drills never been locked up and suspended. Only that it is about North pole!

Heath,

You have to understand that not all of us support what our current administration in D.C. is doing and to blame a different administration for past troubles doesn't solve anything.

Now, I for one, am not in favor of drilling for any oil in Alaska, namely because I have yet to hear of a "responsible" oil company to clean up their mess. Exxon should have gone belly up, but instead, they have sympathizers like you and others that keep handing them money at the pump. Secondly, this current administration has its roots in oil, so why would I be behind this sorry excuse of a president? :dunno: Poor little rich baby!
