Howard the Duck Creator Gerber Dies

LAS VEGAS (Feb. 16) - Steve Gerber, the comic book writer and creator whose signature character was the alienated, cigar-chomping Howard the Duck, has died. He was 60. Gerber, who also co-created Marvel's "Omega the Unknown" and created the 1980s animated series "Thundarr the Barbarian," suffered from pulmonary fibrosis.

Ah, It's been a long time since I've heard of Howard the Duck. I remember I used to watch the movie in the 80's with Lea Thompson playing in it. I loved it.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Gerber.
