Any tips or how to make my computer goes faster? I just wondering?

Type 'defrag' from the search box in the start ---

the program would pop up and you should see the disk defragment window. Select the 'Defragment Now' and it should start running, and if it works for you, it is best for you to defrag it automatically once a week.

The less applications you open up the faster the computer runs. In other word the more junk in system, it will slow down system.

Don't use MS defrag because they aren't much difference.

Clean out Temporary Internet File, Recycle bins, and several files that accumulate and bogs down performance. Also be sure you don't have too many "running Icons" next to clock. Last thing, How much RAM memory do you have on your system and can you add more in the future?

Sometime you might want to delete some program that you downloaded and installed it but never use it, just delete it. Sometime it helps improve performance because some programs are running background when Windows boots up and settle to desktop. It may not show "running Icons" next to clock. You can check to find out by navigate to Run and type inside box, "msconfig" and click on "Startup" tab and see if any program that it shouldn't be there or turning off certain program that you don't want it to run background. Be careful when you do because some program are essential to Windows and functions for your computer like Launch manager and several of program that came with your computer when you bought it.

I did try PC Mechanic and it did speed up XP. But I don't know about Vista. I do have Vista Home in basment system but never use it. ( it was in VMware program)
