Let me set an example. By bicycle, if I ride 8 miles, I can do that in 45 minutes on a good day. That also means I keep going, and don't stop unless really necessary to do so.
Another example would be my recent 10-block walk to the Metra. Now, many people cannot walk 1.2 miles in less than 20 minutes without having endured other ways to get used to it.
What about you? How many of you are endurance athletes? Keep in mind, though that not everyone can do this. It takes a long time to get used to it.
