How does it work for deaf to...

You know deaf people lose hearing, so they increase 25% of other senses each such as visual, feel, taste, and odor. So ... I could see through someone sitting in the potty box.

Find out if someone is in the bathroom stall? Us hearies knock and ask if anyone is inside, and if there is - they usually reply "occupied" or "taken". How does that translate to deaf culture?

How do you get the attention of a deaf group outdoors? I know indoors you can flick the lights, but what happens when you're outdoors and cannot control the lights?

Hmmm. Here if door is locked mean someone in there, most have red or green on door. Red means someone there and green means it free. If nothing on door, just push it to check.

Let me just ask this...I thought it was 'rude' to flick the lights when trying to get the attention of a Deaf person. Because it scared them or something. Its better to wave or grab attention that way, other then flick the lights.

What do good will do wave at a deaf person or even a hearing person if you're behind them ? I was not scared when my neighbor flick the light to get my attention, I would had be shocked to have someone come up from me behind and grabbed my arm!

No something kids will locked the door and crawl out of the stall . This has happen at stores I shop at. The kids loved to do this with the stalls that design for people using a W/C.
K -Mart bathroom have locked that let a person know someone using it .

It's a legitimate question out of an experience I had today. And those who are as RUDE as you are are the true a$$holes. By the way, it's "as you are" and not "as you're".

My dad went to saunas and he once left his door open a crack to let some heat out. Some guy started to walk in on dad and dad was ready fight the guy! When dad was checking out he told the owner what happen and he told dad when you leave your door open it mean you're open for a proposition, and if you lying on your back it mean you what a BJ! Dad had no idea he was looking for a proposition! He never left his door open again!

I think most people lock the door when using the restroom...If I am unable to see legs, like its its an actual bathroom with a solid door, I reach for the handle and try opening it....If its locked then it means someone is in there lol. Given....I have walked in on people a few times....more embarassing for them I think, good lesson to lock the door!

I was at a park and when to use the bathroom and the door was ajar and when I started to open it I saw a father was in it with his son , he did not lock the door. There a lot places that have unisex bathrooms so it really is good idea to lock the door.

I will not use a stall if the lock is broken, unless I am with someone that keep the door closed for me. I had just unlocked the door of bathroom and cleaning guy came charging in and was trying to push door open and I trying to tell him to wait as my right arm is bummed. He did not knock on the door and I did not hear him, Finlay was done , he would had let me known someone coming in.
